Improvisation and joy are the cornerstones of Tony’s style. He studied classical Cuban piano at the Ignacio Cervantes conservatory in Habana, Cuba. Afterward, tony turned to study the rhythms of jazz. For over a decade, tony has developed a jazz performance rich with influence of traditional Cuban rhythms. We were there to celebrate our dear friend Deb’s birthday. We had scheduled Zingari’s in February, but a Cat 2 storm interrupted our date… until, today. Birthday Deb wanted a Zingari experience. So we were seated in the cozy Jazz room with jazz playing in the background. Our lunch started with a Prosecco toast to our celebrant, Deb. Our meals commenced with Zingari’s myriad of house cocktails. Yea! Must try should you go. We chose to do family style lunch for our table to share. Two appetizers: smoke salmon tostini’s and figs on mascarpone cream cheese toast: Yum, delicious! Our entrees of eggplant lasagna with gnocchi’s and a Petrale sole plate - Every scrumptious morsel was devoured delightfully. Needless-to-say, we couldn’t leave without tasting a few of Zingari desserts. Birthday Deb decided on the house special, tiramisu; whereas, bread pudding and affogato was order for the table along with coffee and capuchino. A dessert wine of Brachetto d’Acqui was given on the house to toast our finale. Perfecto! Our honoree Deb and entourage give five thumbs up on house beard pudding. By far one of the very best, yes it was yum delicious, in San Francisco. Bravo Chef! Great meal. Love the ambiance. The service was outstanding from our waiter Nee (Neucheri sp ?), who was hands down phenomenal and very generous with his attention. Thank you Nee for your wonderful service! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, we were all very well satiated, and we do look forward to return for another wonderful experience. So, until… 🥰❤️🌺

We were celebrating, and thrilled to get a nice table to listen to the wonderful piano music! Food was delicious, waiter was outstanding. Thank you! We hope to be back soon.

A neighborhood gem. Good vibe as a casual-but-classy "Italian joint" with well made Italian dishes, a good wine list and a waiter that really cared, it was a quiet respite from the streets of SF. Jazz nightly in the other room for an extra fee. We didn't try that this time but may do so in the future.

Wonderful Valentine’s prix fixe experience. Only item for improvement to note was that the meat in the Papardelle was tough. I don’t know if it was the cut of meat or literally the butchering not removing membranes. I left half the meat uneaten. Otherwise the food was spectacular, and even that dish had wonderful pasta and sauce flavor profile.

I’ll start off saying my food was extremely tasty and I truly enjoyed every plate. Absolutely Delicious in my opinion. (Had carpaccio, salad, and meat rigatoni) My significant others dishes were great as well, but her pasta did come out cold and “firm” like it had been sitting for 15 minutes or so. We had a reservation at 8 and weren’t seated until 9 as they had clearly overbooked. They did give us and others some complimentary wine which was nice. All In was about $370 for 2 people, and 2 drinks each on their set 4 course menu (for Valentine’s Day). They ran out of some of the dishes on the menu as well, but did not affect my order. Great food, but that should be expected for the high price. (And automatically included 20% tip) The staff was always very friendly! Giving 3 stars due to them overbooking reservations, causing us an hour wait, and my significant others Pasta being a little cold.

Service was really slow. Took 2.5 hours to have the 4 course meal, ended up asking to get the dessert as take out as I didn't want to wait any longer. Other clients also left or were waiting a long time for the food. Food was average, not worth the price.

The staff were kind, however the kitchen could not keep up on Valentines Day. Took almost an hour between courses, finally had to give up and take dessert to go. Food ok, not spectacular-expensive experience.

The prices were steep, but the food quality was average at best, lacking the creativity I expected. Service was slow, with long wait times for both our appetizers and entrees, and our server seemed overwhelmed. Additionally, the limited wine selection was underwhelming and overpriced. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant, as there are better options that offer quality and value.
