Here at ZIGU, we believe the key to running a successful restaurant is to serve fresh local ingredients. We cook in a Japanese style using only ingredients found here in Hawaii. We will soon be opening our doors to customers. You'll enjoy authentic Japanese cooking and sake either inside our cozy interior or outside our spacious courtyard terrace.

    We ordered four dishes off the late-night menus (we sat down at 10:15pm New Years Eve) - we only ate the spicy tuna !! Servers were friendly but managed to forget one of the four drinks we ordered.

    I made a reservation but they did not tell us or specify anywhere that they would not serve the full menu. They had a small bite size expensive menu for New Year’s Eve. The waiter made up a little bit for the bad experience, but we were very disappointed. Would have picked another place had I known but it was already too late. Once we ordered they brought the food at different times, like if they had forgotten a dish and took them half and hour to bring a fork. The only thing they offered to make up for all the messs is a glass of cheap Prosecco….

    We made a reservation for NYE and were excited about the menu. When we arrived we were very disappointed to learn that they had a “special” NYE menu that had very few options which were mostly appetizers. We were not allowed to order any of the dishes on the main menu (which were the reason we made the reservation). We were not given any advanced notice and had no time to make reservations at another restaurant, which we would have done if we were informed about the limited NYE menu. This restaurant is dishonest and I highly recommend you do not come here.

    NYE dinner. Super busy, but the staff was great. The noodles and sushi (Spicy tuna) were amazing. We loved the meal!!

    Service was lacking, no one brought place settings or took away empty plates and expected more after server said they had the best fish that made the them the number one restaurant. King salmon was just ok and I had a bone in mine.

    There were lots of people today because of New Year Eve. This was my second time there, the sushi was always very fresh. Appetizers were delicious too. We loved fried tofu. Anyway we will definitely go there again next time.

    I usually love this place but I agree with another review I read here that the quality seems to have diminished. The menu is not as extensive and the food was good but not excellent like I remembered from past experiences.
