Here at ZIGU, we believe the key to running a successful restaurant is to serve fresh local ingredients. We cook in a Japanese style using only ingredients found here in Hawaii. We will soon be opening our doors to customers. You'll enjoy authentic Japanese cooking and sake either inside our cozy interior or outside our spacious courtyard terrace.

It was a just ~fine~ experience. The entrees were good. The sushi rolls lacked flavor and the nigiri lacked the presentation and flavor quality for the price point per piece - allegedly they “get the best quality cuts of fish in Hawai’i”. An ok dinner, but geared towards tourists who want to Instagram their food (they bring out a ring light with certain dishes). There are better quality and value sushi spots on Waikiki.

Everything here was great - the service, the food, the ambiance. We had a wonderful evening and will recommend Zigu to everyone.

Great surprise little sushi restaurant a few streets off the main one in Waikiki, but completely worth it for fresh sushi without the long wait.

The fish was amazing and the toro melted in your mouth. It was great to go somewhere more local. The service was stretched thin in our section.

おいしくなかった。辛い、味が濃い。ロール系は崩れます。食べにくい。ハワイにはかなり来てますが、二度目は無いです。

The servers there are all very attentive and professional. They are knowledgeable on the menu and quick to take your order and assist with special requests. Every dish is freshly made and the sashimi is high quality and melts in your mouth. They have an excellent happy hour menu too!

Food was good, outdoor area was nice. Service was poor. First we tried ordering a glass of Pinot noir. Server says it’s not available by the glass only by the bottle. We say that’s fine, we will do the bottle of Pinot noir. (There was only one option btw). Server says it’s not available. Ok we will do a glass of Cab then. (Maybe he isn’t familiar with wine, that’s fine) but then when we go to order our dinner we asked for the cucumber salad and the sashimi platter. We couldn’t remember if it’s sashimi or nigiri that has rice so we asked if the sashimi comes with rice, server says it does on the side. We said great. Well we never got our cucumber salad and the sashimi platter did not come with a side of rice. He never checked on us after our food was delivered, we ate and finished our wine and sat with empty glasses and plates for probably 15 min before he came back. I’d probably try this place again as the food and atmosphere was good. Hoping the poor service was just an off night.
