Here at ZIGU, we believe the key to running a successful restaurant is to serve fresh local ingredients. We cook in a Japanese style using only ingredients found here in Hawaii. We will soon be opening our doors to customers. You'll enjoy authentic Japanese cooking and sake either inside our cozy interior or outside our spacious courtyard terrace.

お店スタッフの方々が明るく気遣いがありよかったです。酒のつまみになるような小皿料理がたくさんあるといいかと思いました。美味しかったです。

Great local dining spot for sushi and sake. Our server was excellent and very accommodating. Skip the big hotel restaurants and stop in for a fun experience.

Zigu is a hidden gem in the heart of Waikiki, where local ingredients meet Japanese flair. My wife and I swung by during happy hour, and the ambiance was as cozy as it was inviting. We started with the Aloha Oboro Tofu, a melt-in-your-mouth dish brightened by Local Shiso Tamari Ginger—simple yet bursting with flavor. The Mochiko Fried Chicken? Crispy perfection, paired with a smoked mayo that brought a little extra magic to every bite. And the ZIGU Roll? A fresh, colorful medley of Ahi, Kanpachi, and local veggies. Zigu's commitment to local sourcing shines through in every dish, making this spot a must-visit!

生姜焼きとポテトサラダは、とてもお勧めです。　ここ三年毎年9月にホノルルを訪問していますが、滞在中この味が恋しくて欠かさずに利用しています。

Traditional noodle dishes were great - Sushi/ sashimi was of poor quality. Service was great.

Excellent all around. Fresh & delicious food in a laid back courtyard setting. Our server David was just as wonderful as all the reviews I read. He made my mums bday dinner extra special. We will definitely be back

I’ll start off by saying that Zigu was one of the highlights of our Oahu trip. The food here is nothing short of spectacular, and the service provided by David was top tier. David went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one, and made for the best birthday dinner with my wife! I would highly recommend this place to others, and also recommend asking for David, who’s just an all around awesome person. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Overall 4+ experience. The patio setting was nice. Most of the dishes were solid. The mochiko chicken and spicy soba were our favorites. They didn't have their usual sirloin, but offered a washu gyu skirt (?) (at a higher price). We were disappointed...it was overcooked and tough. Service was good.
