Zia Maria Ristorante and Pizzeria in Chelsea is a family owned restaurant and pizzeria that offers authentic, homemade Italian food, bringing the fresh flavors of Italy to New York. We also offer a fully stocked top-shelf bar.

Got there before our reservation and was able to be seated. Food was good, service was slow due to large party being seated right next to us. Noise place

The food is wonderful and not the issue at all. I recently moved to Chelsea and this is a local restaurant that I would like to dine at often. However each time I am there the service leaves something to be desired. IMO there is no incentive for them to do better as a 20% tip is added onto the bill. The place seems so disorganized and it is frustrating watching the staff run around. It took 2.5 hours to dine ( with no coffee, dessert or appetizers.). We got desserts to go. The first 30 mins ( at least) was spent waiting for our order to be taken! … ALL OF 3 MINS and watching the restaurant fill with patrons. We tend to dine off hours to avoid the crowds. With that being said going at peak hours to dine must be horrendous. I truly hope that they get it together soon. I have never been there when service was great ( no matter the day or how many people were in the dining room ) They could do so much better and probably turn a much bigger profit as well.

The food was so delicious, served hot, beautiful presentation, by very kind servers! Loved our evening casual yet very nice dinner at Zia Maria and hope to come back to dine here the next time we’re in NYC!

Incredible food, such a lovely staff and top tier service. The roasted pear salad, cacio e pepe with grilled chicken and cocktails are top tier, and the fresh baked bread they serve is unreal. Will definitely revisit next time I’m in NYC.

Great food, reasonable prices, especially for Manhattan. Perfect place to chill before David Gilmour at MSG.

Had a group dinner at Zia Maria last Thursday and this Friday. Besides the fresh delicious appetizers and entrees I must applaud the staff. On both occasions I found the host and waitstaff gracious and efficient. Even with large parties also seated, the food arrived on time and the table was cleared as soon as we finished eating. Highly recommended!
