Zentli (indigenous Nahuatl Language for "corn" or "maize"), is a casual restaurant that serves the best locally sourced Mexican street food in Evanston, Illinois. With fresh, natural ingredients and vegan & vegetarian options in eclectic, artistic digs, we’re your new local favorite.

We built Zentli to honor the ingenuity and hard work of Mexican people by bringing you the genuine flavors of street vendors through tasty food and mouth-watering drinks.

    Never disappoints! Excellent food (house made mole!!) and cocktails. Service was wonderful as usual. Gem of a restaurant.

    This was our 2nd time here and we were disappointed by the service and the food. Even though the place was empty when we arrived, our Service was erratic and slow. He was also uncourteous, moody and our service was incorrect for food and cocktails. The food itself was uneven. We had scrumptious apps and tacos previously, but maybe they are training new chefs? The guacamole was darkening everywhere and I can’t believe they served it anyway. So, overall, disappointing.

    Favorite Mexican restaurant! We drive 30 minutes once a week for Piloto’s blue corn tortillas and mushroom tacos. Love!!!

    Authentic mexican dishes in a charming, intimate space. We had a terrific brunch with 6 people and had great service.

    Excellent food selections. Wonderful flavors that exceed Mexican entree expectations. Margarita tasted like a margarita, but it was somehow different, its own tasty interpretation. I also tried the El Guillo (I believe that was the name), a mezcal and amaro cocktail with quite a punch. Enjoy!
