This location was very busy on a Thursday night. It felt like the service staff was overworked. The food was good. I had a good experience during DC Restaurant Week ‘22 which made me want to come back. Experience this time around was okay.

Zaytinya is lots of fun, and most of the many dishes we ordered for our party of five were fantastic. ( One notable exception— the bronzing was very bland.) But— our server pushed us to over order (he said 3 items per person and we were stuffed with 2per person) , and rushed us ( brought out four items at once, twice— even after we asked him to slow it down). I would return, but I’d be very clear upfront I’d want only 2 items at a time.

Outstanding restaurant w prompt, professional and friendly service. Menu offers amazing selections of fresh, inventive options. The only downside is Zaytina is LOUD- it wasn’t a big deal at first but after a while we got tired of yelling to each other just to be heard. Very HIGH ENERGY vibe but if anyone in your party has difficulty hearing or is impatient with a ‘noisy atmosphere’ you may want to book a table on the patio or elsewhere… We enjoyed our experience but will opt for an outdoor table in the future.

Always one of our favorite places in any city. Food is just excellent across the board. Dishes are meant to be shared and the portion sizes are small enough that even a couple can try 5, 6, or even more dishes for variety.

I always enjoy eating at Zaytinya and the Tasting Menu is the best value of any tasting menu I’ve experienced around the world. The flavors and food are so energetic.
