While the food was enjoyable, the service was less than satisfactory. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and a couple entrees all at the same time to expedite and make it easier for the wait staff, but we didn’t receive our entrees for nearly an hour. Our waiter did not stop at our table to check on us, so we had to ask other waiters to check on our food. Other tables around us had many more people and had ordered more food, but they were seated, served, and checked out faster than we were. I normally like this restaurant, so hopefully this was just an off night.

While planning a trip to DC I found so many good reviews for Zaytinya. Finding out it was a José Andrés restaurant made it a must do in our itinerary. This was the first fine dining experience for my 3 children and a complete hit. We were treated so well and left full of special memories. The flavors were perfectly paired no matter the combination, and we had a lot of combinations. The service was the best part of the experience.

Amazing Mediterranean foods. Branzino was delicious! Enjoyed the hummus and falafels. Icing on the cake was the mushroom appetizer!

Our server and other table helpers were all awesome! Food and drink delicious! I had not been in 20 years and loved it!

The food us delicious, the wait staff was nice but a bit slow. Overall a good experience. I will go back.
