We booked and came here for the duck. But they refused to supply us with any as we hadn’t preordered it. The website says “Preorder your duck, book here” which then takes you to Opentable. That’s what I did. Anyway, they wouldn’t budget and didn’t care. Quite unpleasant about it, no understanding of how disappointed we were in one of our 2 nights in SF.

Our servers were phenomenal and so accommodating and kind when a drink was spilled by one of us early in our dinner. They made the best of an otherwise embarrassing moment The Peking duck was outstanding! Maybe the best we’ve had.

In all, it was a nice dinner. Unfortunately, the major issue was with the hard, wooden chairs. They were extremely uncomfortable and after sitting for an hour or so, almost painful--both on the seat itself and the hard, straight back. There was no position that relieved the discomfort. This was commented upon by all 5 members of our party.

The food was delicious! The beef in the pepper beef dish was amazingly tender as was the sea bass. Our server was wonderful and when told we had limited time made sure our food was ready immediately. Will return.

I made a reservation in advance for a birthday and we wanted to try Peking duck. I am so grateful for the incredible service we received here!! It was my kids birthday but my phone already died for the day and the hostess was kind enough to let me charge my phone behind the bar so I could get photos of the special occasion. Then enter our waiter Stanley. He was probably the most intuitive waiter I've ever had in my life. As we were eating we were laughing that anytime I asked for something I would only say the first work and he already got us what we needed in the blink of an eye. Seriously impressive! He could tell I didn't really know what to order. I just said "We want to try Peking Duck" so he explained that it was more of an appetizer to share with the table and we would want to get dinner also. I didn't realize, I thought that was all I had to order for 5 of us! I'm glad he told me. As I started ordering other items he was also sure to let me know just how much I was ordering so I wouldn't over order since we were trying a new place and new food. He even sang happy birthday! Just a really great experience! Oh... not to mention the food was incredible! The duck was so crispy and flavorful. We ordered kung pao chicken, orange chicken, shrimp truffle fried rice, a pot of black tea, pot stickers, shrimp dumplings.. not a single dish disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere and excellent service! Definitely try this place!

Upscale, impressive venue but—bottom line—if you know “Peking Duck,” you know this is a B+ version.

Love the place. Very clean with simple decor. Location is convenient for tour in China town. Peking duck was excellent.

We didn’t understand that reserving a duck meant that it was served first in addition to other entrees. Service was a little spotty, but overall food was delicious and affordable. Worth going if you have patience for servers who are stretched thin.

Wow. This is my go to restaurant in Chinatown. Service is superb and of course the food is delicious and very enjoyable experience for the value. Downstairs has great appeal and make sure to order the duck.
