We drove all the way from South Riding looking for the best sushi without going into DC, and Yume Sushi nailed it. We tried 4 of the chef specialties and 2 rolls and all of it was excellent. Our server, Pete, made great recommendations as well. Sit at the sushi counter if you’re a party of 2. We’ll definitely be back!

Wanted to like Yume as we’ve been looking for a good sushi restaurant in the area and had heard good things. Service was attentive, but unfortunately none of the food impressed us, especially for the price. The edamame was slightly overcooked, the sushi rice wasn’t well-seasoned, the rolls fell apart and the drinks tasted unbalanced. No one thing was bad enough to complain about, but I expect more from a place angling for a high-end experience. Just ok. Would not recommend or go out of my way to visit again.

Very artfully and well thought out sushi dishes with some really nice unusual combinations, and some very high-end items. Cocktail menu is great. I appreciate our server because she had a very strong working knowledge of the menu and had really good things to offer, which I have found otherwise to be lacking sometimes at a specialized restaurant such as this, I appreciated the sushi type recommendations, they were all some the best that I’ve experienced. Outside was beautiful and quiet, and overall we just had a very nice experience. Will definitely go again.

Overall experience here was very good. Sushi was fresh and beautifully presented. Service was quite good as well. Definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic dinner at Yume. We did the restaurant week tasting menu and added the Winner. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. The sashimi is so fresh - a favorite spot for sushi for sure!

The sushi was good. We made the mistake of ordering the restaurant week menu for $65/pp when a la carte would have been a better value. It is extremely loud inside and could barely hear the server or the person across the table from me.

Our server Ken was terrific (he deserves a gift card :-). Start with the Baby Octopus Salad. Try the Yume Roll which is Spicy tuna and avocado topped with seared tuna and jalapeno served with spicy mayo and eel sauce and tempura bits and the Jeff Roll. Chef Saran Kannasute is truly gifted and this restaurant lived on to our expectations and more.

Chef Saran wasn't prepping this evening, but he trained his staff very well. We requested Omakase, and the experience was awesome. Great, fresh fish, Uni and wagyu.
