Sunday bookings incur a 10% surcharge and 15% on Public Holiday. Cancellation within less than 24 hours or reduced numbers prior to 5pm incur a $100 cancellation charge, reduced number of guests on arrival incur a charge of full amount of the set menu.

Ambience was perfect, but it wasn’t worth the money. We had the Chef Experience, but most dishes were just mediocre - some with crispy elements weren’t crispy, others were too salty - I couldn’t finish one of the dishes as it was the saltiest dish I ever had. Told the waiter about it, but the only thing I got was “I will tell the kitchen”. We also felt there should be another course or so, as we weren’t at all full at the end of all courses. Felt unfulfilled really. Staff were super friendly, but it felt like they were pushing us to finish our whole experience as they wouldn’t allow much time between courses, and the bill was taken to us shortly after desserts. It’s really unseen at other quality restaurants. The best thing of the night was the desserts, so I will definitely come back to YuGen Tea Bar for desserts, and perhaps for drinks given the great ambience, but definitely not going to come back for dinner. It’s disappointing.

Our fav was the prawn toast! Most amazing flavours ever! Then king fish was almost as drool worthy. If you like spice the barra is fab, esp with egg rice. I liked pork katsu but quite rich. The chocolate mandarin dessert was incredible, but glad we shared.

I ended up booking for 8:45pm instead of 6:45pm but the stuff was completely understanding and decided to find a table for me and my partner. The hospitality was amazing from the minute we walked in. Once we got inside it was worth every dollar as the waiter and waitress were very helpful with the explanation of the menu, The food was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Thank you YuGen and the stuff for the beautiful experience, we will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend anyone that has a special occasion to try this place as it won’t disappoint.

Beautiful dining experience. Excellent table service. Food was incrediable. Maybe my only downside was the horrible music they played. It was not matched with the sophisticated theme of the dining experience. I do not like boom boom boom, and for such an elegant eating experience, where people do dress up… maybe they could select a more calming and peaceful music theme .
