Yohei Sushi KAHALA is the second restaurant of Yohei Sushi Restaurant, opened in 1990 by Kazuto Obara, the founder and Sushi chef. Enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine in a modern setting, our Omakase courses and seasonal à la carte dishes feature fresh ingredients sourced from Hawaii and directly from Japan.
We offer pairing with sake and wine for a complete experience.
Indulge in a unique Omakase course, beginning with our essential "Ichiban dashi" (golden first dashi) and experience our original dishes inspired by Hawaiian culinary culture.

This was a popular main dining hall only course at the time of opening! The chef has updated the menu to make it a regular menu with delicious seasonal ingredients. This course is a reflection of our restaurant's desire to make people happy through sushi. Enjoy Nigiri Sushi along with appetizers, salads, and tempura made with fresh vegetables, with a focus on locally grown ingredients. If there are children in your group or if you do not like raw fish, we will do our best to accommodate by asking what they can eat. Excellent miso black cod and nigiri but very small portions on the sushi. Servers were very attentive and helpful.

We did the standard seating as no omakase seating was available. Everything was amazing. Ambiance and food were great, nice wine list for bottles. Overall great execution

The ambiance was very bold and yet elegant, especially for a restaurant that offers lunch as well as dinner. The presentation of the food was excellent, and the food itself was quite tasty. The crab spring rolls were delicious, as was the assorted tenpura, and the cheesecake.

This location takes a big step up in decor. The servers were very attentive, and the food was delicious—all at a price. We enjoyed our meal and were treated well. Mahalo
