We’ve eaten a lot of chicken in our time. We’ve tried a lot of marinades, a whole load of sauces and we’ve fried up a shed load of crumbs.
And then we discovered the secret recipe for our very own buttermilk fried chicken. We think it’s pretty special.
You should try it.
Yard & Coop is all about serving up proper fried chicken with tasty sides, classic cocktails and craft beers, and having a damn good time doing it.
Come drink in the Yard and get fed in the Coop.
We’ll try not to make too many chicken puns…

I felt it was a good place for families with kids and the younger generation. Although we’re in our 40s and still had a nice time. Music a bit loud for me but that’s probably my age :) All around great place.

The NOT chicken nuggets are the perfect reason to come here my first taste of Halloumi and it won’t be the last. Loaded dirty fries where ridiculous as well so tasty. Excellent service and even better food

Lovely meal, would deffo go again, didn't like the cider as it had a really odd taste to it but other than that it was amazing!!

The service was very slow and there were not many people dining. The food was awful. The Buttermilk chicken was burnt on the outside. The chicken was dry. We had sweet potato with our meal which were very thin and crispy. The plate of food was not presented very well it looked very dull and it had a sliced raw onion on the top of chicken as a dressing.

First experience at Yard and Coop so we were not sure what to expect. The immediate thing we noticed when we walked in was the buzzing atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. All our meals were great - the buffalo sauce with my chicken was the best I’ve had (and I’ve tried lots!). The dirty chips were probably not necessary and made them a bit soggy but still tasty. Overall, a great experience and quite novel to be sat inside a wooden hen coop!! We will be back
