Xixón, Asturian for Gijón, a city north of Spain, continues its culinary vision by providing local Miamians and visitors alike with a glimpse and taste of what the real Spanish regional cuisines are all about by upholding to its traditions including Tapas and Wines with high standards of service. We carry an extensive variety of Spanish Wines in our wine cellar located at the Vinoteca, suitable for wine browsing or cozy informal dining, with over 3000 bottles from all major wine regions such as Ribera del Duero, Rioja, Priorat, Toro, Rias Baixas, Bierzo and Jumilla. Full liquor bar with happy hour drink specials Monday-Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Large groups: for reservations of 10 or more people an automatic 18% Tip will be added to all checks. For your protection and to improve payment security we only accept credit cards with EMV chip.

The lubina al horno was good. One waitress was nice and smiling,not the other!

We had bellota croquetas that were delicious as well as the paella. Our server was very attentive. Recommend it 100%

The food was a disappointing. We ordered Seafood Paella and most of it was squid and rice which was extremely salty. We also ordered a bottle of wine which was put in an ice bucket on the side and we had to refill our glasses on our own several times while there was plenty of servers there, they were not attentive. For dessert we ordered Churros from the menu and after 10 minutes they came back and said they had no Churros. I then ordered Crema Catalana, which was very watery. The whole dining experience was not worth the money that we paid.

Muy mala experiencia. Yo soy Española y la comida no estaba buena, las bravas secas y duras, la carrillera dura …. Le he dicho al camarero que la carrillera no estaba buena y le ha dado igual. Cuando nos han traído la cuenta no nos la ha quitado y además tambien nos ha puesto el tip incluido y dice que es así como sale del ordenador. Yo por no discutir lo he pagado pero le he dicho que no me ha parecido bien que actúen así. Fatal comida y fatal trato. No lo recomiendo para nada.

Went for lunch with my husband and our daughter for Mother’s Day. Sat on the second level which reminded me of a restaurant in Madrid, Spain, called Botin. Food was delicious; the ambience couldn’t have been better, and our waiter Estefania went out of her way to make us feel welcomed; to top it all, she happened to be from Malaga where my maternal grandmother whom I loved dearly was born. Kudos to Xixón and its staff for making my day a very special one.
