Booked online to dine at Wreck in Liverpool. Easy process.
Chose focaccia for the table. Springy and airy. Good addition of salt and rosemary with olive oil.
Partner and I chose black pudding and goats cheese to start. Both delicious and nicely presented.
Mains were roast cod loin with mushroom, and chicken schnitzel with cabbage and yoghurt dressing. Again nicely presented, a substantial but light course.
Desserts were Eccles Cake and Crème Brulée. Eccles Cake caramelised outer and spiced juicy currents. Crème Brulée beautifully creamy and thin layer of crunchy caramel.
Beverages - Americano; hot, strong and good punch. Lady Smith (their own brew?) - citrus and juicy tropical flavours. Pale ale, apparently good.
Servers prompt and met needs. Credit to all staff. Good experience. Paid c.£100. Better value in terms of taking advantage of lunch/weekday evening options though. We visited Saturday pm.
