Tacoma’s newest waterfront restaurant, Woven Seafood & Chophouse, is a Roy Yamaguchi concept owned by The Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Woven celebrates a rich fusion of culinary traditions, honoring Yamaguchi’s Japanese heritage and pioneering Hawaii regional cuisine, along with the traditions of the Puyallup Tribe and the bounty of the Pacific Northwest.

Woven was good but I wouldn’t say great. The service and attention to diners is fantastic. We started off feeling a little rushed but that settled down and it was nice. Very nice that they gave us each a glass of wine and a shared dessert for our anniversary. We’ll go back but it isn’t our first choice yet on the Tacoma waterfront. I think as they are open longer they will definitely improve in their minor areas of weakness.

Excellent service. Food delicious. Had appy, salmon roll, seafood salad for main and cobbler for dessert. Will return to sample other options. Sparse crowd early Wednesday eve dinner.

Everything was absolutely delicious. Surprising blends of flavors to the food made the meals unique and excellent.

The food was ok. My wife ordered the fish and chips. Her sweet potato fries were over salted and the fish batter was not to her liking. I ate the crab futomaki. It was excellent. I ordered a Tom Collins drink and it was sour. I think they confused it with a gin and tonic. We’d go again, but I’m not sure the hype is warranted.

We have been to Roy’s restaurant in Maui and it’s always been a favorite. The menu here has similar offerings of Asian fusion with the miso cod and endame appetizer. We ordered the burrata as an appetizer and it was outstanding—perfect blend of flavors. I’m so happy to have Woven here into the PNW.

Woven by far exceeded any expectations we had. The restaurant is beautiful, the view is great. Service was amazing. The food was delicious. We loved the smoked salmon dip appetizer, the ribeye was cooked to perfection, slow cooked short ribs fell off the bone and the potato pave was amazing. Our waitress Patience was exceptional. Patience was extremely knowledgeable about the menu with great suggestions, she was attentive and kind. Dining at Woven is an experience, dinner was paced nicely. We had a very enjoyable evening celebrating our anniversary and 2 birthdays. We even got special treats from the chef. Thank you Patience and the rest of the staff at Woven for making our night extra special.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The staff was brilliant, and the food was delicious. We ordered several appetizers to share, and we left stuffed. Each dish was delicious, fresh, and unique. I loved the pho inspired short ribs and the pork belly ssam, and the lumpia were a family favorite. We will be returning, this is our new favorite restaurant in the Point Ruston area and I am already dreaming about the short ribs.

The restaurant is beautiful inside with wonderful views outside. One of the first sites you see is someone grilling. It smells amazing. We were a bit early and went to wait in the bar. It was so loud and the chairs were so far apart that it was truly difficult to talk. The restaurant dining room was even louder. Everyone has to raise their voice to be heard. If noise is a problem I would recommend going late. The staff were very nice. It was a Sunday evening and very busy. So, it took a long time to get our meals. We were seated at 6:15 and received our entrees (we shared an appetizer) about 7:30. The food was wonderful. We shared an order of spicy tuna rolls that were the best I've ever had. I had the black cod fish and chips (sweet potato fries). They were good with generous portions. My friend had the paella and thought it was good too. I would definitely go back but maybe for lunch when things are a little quieter. Or just for drinks very early before it gets too busy.
