Tacoma’s newest waterfront restaurant, Woven Seafood & Chophouse, is a Roy Yamaguchi concept owned by The Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Woven celebrates a rich fusion of culinary traditions, honoring Yamaguchi’s Japanese heritage and pioneering Hawaii regional cuisine, along with the traditions of the Puyallup Tribe and the bounty of the Pacific Northwest.

Food is next level amazing. But something needs to be done about the noise and also the fact that it feels like you’re in Ikea.

Our group of 4 had a nice start with a dozen Pacific oysters and a bottle of brut rosé. The salmon and the hamachi collar were outstanding. The misoyaki cod was rich and decadent and served with a tangy succotash and a Wasabi sauce which offset it nicely. It was a top-notch evening.

The food was OK. Not worth the money especially for the scallops, 3 scallops for $37… yeah. A ribeye that costs $62 should have seasoning.. there was none. Cooked perfectly to Med Rare but bland as hell. The Seafood pillows (4 tiny pieces) tasted nothing of seafood mainly pork. The seating was awkward in a two person high top. It was very loud to the point of obnoxious. Seem like a cheap casino restaurant. Kinda a $240 disappointment. We won’t be returning.

An absolute 5 star experience from start to finish. Excellent food, outstanding service, great vibe. I do wish they had more vegetarian options, but the few items they had were delicious. Highly recommend!

The food and ambience are excellent. Could use a little more variety in the menu, perhaps some specials. Service needs tightening up. Felt like there were not enough servers on the floor. Took a while to get first contact. Appetizers arrived before drinks and we had to remind the server we had not received our drinks. Food came out fast and hot. Delicious! Great ambience and beautiful restaurant. We will be back.

Fantastic dinner, love this restaurant! Cocktails were delicious, scallops were perfection, and Zachary provided terrific service, suggestions, and just the right amount of attention. Definitely plan to become regulars here, looking forward to the outside deck this summer!

This is our second time this week dining at Woven. We wanted to try something different so we ordered the adobo chicken wings and seafood pillows for the appetizers. I am a fan of the adobo chicken wings. For the main entree, my husband had the paella and he cleaned his plate. That’s how good it was! Price wise, my husband commented that it was cheaper than our usual dining bill. I can’t wait to try more things on the menu.

Absolutely amazing and delicious food! Our first time dining since it opened. Great service, friendly staff, and great ambiance. We had the back ribs for appetizers, paella and miso black cod for entree. Food did not disappoint.

Our second visit to Woven and it was again a great experience with very unique and delicious food. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about each dish and made tasty recommendations. Love the original Roy Mai Tai cocktails. Ordering several Starters were a meal by themselves- very generous portions. The Asian influence on many of his dishes are just great! Opted for NY steak this trip and it was a perfect pink med rare. We would have preferred to be seated in the main dining area rather than near the bar, but otherwise 5 stars and will def be going back!
