Woodies’ is an award winning, privately owned Free House tucked away in the depths of New Malden. We are a uniquely decorated venue with memorabilia dating back to the last century. Not only do we pride ourselves on the aesthetics of our pub, but we go above and beyond to provide friendly customer service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Our menus change seasonally and rely on what local produce is available. We take pride in supporting the local South West community and thus source all our food from businesses in the area. Our menus are a combination of new and old – we offer both traditional pub food and restaurant-style dishes designed by our international kitchen team. For those whose favour tradition, we have a Sunday Roast every week offering a variety of meats, the tastiest roast-potatoes you’ll ever have, and even a vegetarian option to please everyone! As Sundays often get very busy, we do recommend reserving a table in advance.

Due to my ignorance over the choice of seating area, we sat in the bar, which was busy and noisy, and wouldn't have been our best choice in the future.

This was our second visit and the food is always outstanding, Their Steak and Ale pie is 100% Homemade and totally amazing, and the service is also 5 star. This is quite simply a hidden gem in New Malden. I will be making this a regular for every occasion we celebrate in future. Absolutely oustanding on all levels.

We where presented a choice of two menus to order from the normal one and as it was a Saturday the BBQ menu, the steak and Ale pie from the main menu was filled with meat and came with mash and seasonal vegetables a perfect combination. Chicken from the BBQ menu came with side salad, boiled new potato's and some flat bread, both meals tasted freshly cooked and well presented. Neither of us could manage a desert, portions where generous and good value for money. We will be going again just shame we discovered the BBQ menu at the end of summer.

Woodies is an old school sports pub with outside seating and an indoor conservatory restaurant area. We love coming here because the food is delicious and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It has a really welcoming feel to it and we are never disappointed. The pie is the best item on the menu (IMO!). When we went on a Saturday in Summer recently there was a BBQ option. The food was cooked to order and several in our party had this option. It looked fantastic and everyone cleaned their plates and agreed it was really tasty. The pudding menu is also really delicious so save some room! There's plenty of parking, it's extremely good value and on a Summer's evening you can sit outside and look across the cricket field. I would highly recommend.

Went for dinner and watch the euro finals. Food tasted very good (pleasant surprise) and the staff were super friendly despite the busy service.

Perfect venue for my birthday meal with with friends and family. Reasonably prices, great ale selection and very friendly service. I ranked food 4 out 5 as I ordered a stak & ale pie, was seves a chicken & veg one without explanation. Possibly should have been slightly cheaper? Thank you for making my birthday !!!

Seated quickly and our drinks order taken and offered menus, as we received our drinks as we had time to look at menu we where already so our order! Our food was delivered well presented, hot, again the lady checked if everything we require before leaving us to enjoy the meal and our conversation, only popping by to check we where all happy with our food! Our plates where cleared a few minutes after the last person had finished eating and we was offered the desert and coffee menu. After about ten minutes they took the extra's people wanted and those also turned up in a timely manor! After all the food and drinks had been enjoyed and dishes etc cleared away they asked if we wanted anything else! we had asked if we could have our bills (we had asked for the bill to be divided at the begin it was and all food and drinks correctly itemised to each bill )! The service was perfect and both young ladies who severed us very friendly. I would recommend eating at woodies in the restaurant area as there nothing to complain about, the only thing I like to see, that they have offered in past are some more daily specials, as the beef sir-fry I had back a few weeks ago was the best meal I had in a long time and was hoping if not on menu it would be a special again.

Visited the pub with 92 year old Dad and friend. There was a nice warm welcome and friendly service. The meal was good and pretty good value. Sad to see the pub so quiet though.
