The oldest remaining structure in Denver’s iconic Union Station neighborhood, historic Hose House No. 1 was one of the first fire stations in Denver. Established as a volunteer fire station in 1881, before the City of Denver created a paid fire department, it has been lovingly restored and re-imagined as an iconic, inclusive kitchen & bar.

Named after one of Denver’s earliest fire foremen, Redwood “Woodie” Fisher, Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar reflects the historic building’s symbol of heritage, quality, and character. Those same values return to the historic Hose House through intentional, thoughtful design and menu items that will surprise, intrigue, and welcome.

Located on the corner of 20th and Chestnut on the edge of Denver’s Union Station, Lower downtown and Ballpark neighborhoods, Woodie Fisher is an ideal location for baseball fans, city explorers, and local neighbors.

Heard this was one of the best burgers in Denver. While the burger doesn’t live up to the “best” hype, it was solid. Fries were subpar. Tree in the middle of the restaurant was cool. Service was great. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go here again but wouldn’t turn down an invite here either.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The ambience was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. Our waitress was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food was excellent. My son rated the wings #2 overall in his life, so pretty good! Cocktails were delicious. Would return when back in Denver.

Very chill lunch service in the winter time, amazing space and would love to visit again when the weather is warm and all the doors are open.

Th place itself is nice. Historic firehouse building, nice bar section and good LoDo location. The food ranged from horrid and uneatable (that was the chicken pot pie) to marginal (pizza) to decently good (hamburgers and turkey sandwich). The chicken pot pie was so bad it was returned to the kitchen. Beer selection is pretty weak and quite limited given what you might anticipate from the vibe and decor. There is a happy hour advertised on the website. Happy hour pricing was ignored at the restaurant. Was in a hurry to get to the Nuggets game so didn’t bother asking why. Service was somewhat slow but the waiter was friendly. For all of the good places to go in this part of Denver, don’t waste your time going here.

Decent food - nothing special. Drinks and service were great. It was a good spot for an NYE dinner. If you're looking for a not super overpriced spot with ambiance, this is a solid option.
