As locals, Fur and Feathers is our go to pub for special meals, birthdays, anniversaries etc. We brought our family for my husbands 30th, they were visiting as they live over 3 hours away from us. This was such a special meal but we were gutted from start to finish. Firstly, the service was slow, the bar was busy but the restaurant was not. We were told to really take our time browsing the menus as the waitress had queues to sort. Not a great start, but, we understand it's summer season. My partner went to wait at the bar to order drinks instead, only for a lady to appear a minute later to take our drink orders. Seemed very unorganised. The next issue was our food. We've always praised the portions here, never leaving hungry, but the portions were 100% smaller than normal and did not reflect the price. The 'handcut chips' were frozen oven chips and not cooked properly, possibly because the kitchen was rushing. The pizza came out 10 mins after the rest of the food. No mention on the menu that pizzas may come out separately. Lastly, I had put on the booking that it's was my husbands 30th, yet no special treat to celebrate. Most places do a small dessert at the end with a little candle or something equivalent. Especially at restaurants that tend to be a little more on the expensive side. Overall, value for money was shocking. Not sure what's happened. We won't be back for food and will be finding a new local. Given 3 stars overall as the drink selection is good.

The Restaurant has been revamped and is rustic, in keeping with the Brewery amazing ambience. Stunning settings, helpful and friendly Staff. Happy to help if You need anything. Food is truly Scrummy, with a vast variety of choice for Drinks - on tap and barrell, brewed only 40feet behind the Pub/Restaurant - and when You eat in the Fur & Feather You get a 10% off any purchase in the brewery Shop!!! Only went there Yesterday for My Mum's Birthday and we had the 'Shared Platter, inc three of the Starters of Your choice,' delicious followed by a Dark Chocolate Brownie and Honeycomb Icecream Divine!!! Highly recommended😊..

Food etc. was great, staff were wonderful. However, there was a 1 hr wait for our food order of which we were were not advised of at the point of ordering. We would have appreciated prior warning. That said, the food was superb, particularly the stuffed pork dish from the specials menu. The other distraction was a table with loud, badly behaved children who were allowed to behave that way by the group they were with. Not The F&Fs fault, but it did spoil our experience. I couldn't hear myself think as where we were seated tends to echo anyway.

We had a very long wait even though it didn't seem very busy. I think they were under staffed. Everyone was pleasant. I had catch of the day. The chips and peas were excellent but the fish was a bit rubbery as though it was not fresh. All a bit disappointing.

Eaten here several times with mixed experiences. Sometimes very good. Fairly average pub food. On our most recent visit, although we pre-booked, it took an hour for our roasts to arrive. The waitress did apologise and give an update but couldn’t give an ETA. The restaurant wasn’t full either and you would think on a Sunday with a constant demand for roasts it shouldn’t take that long. The meat was also slightly dry. We couldn’t stay for dessert unfortunately as we had a baby with us and an hour delay on the mains was too much.

The food was absolutely gorgeous really nice. The service was really slow. We asked for a 2nd round of drinks and after 30 minutes and not received we asked for them. Food service was slow but it was a busy Sunday lunch. We were offered the dessert menus but waited that long to be even asked if we wanted to order...we gave up and got the bill. £126 later for a table of 5 it wasn't cheap. Food great service awful

Very disappointed with the level of service received. Myself & my partner visited the weekend and sadly the service was poor!. Meal delivered with no cutlery by the time it took to flag down a waiter it was quicker and easier to go get them myself. Lack of training with the staff, although the staff were very young and inexperienced I blame the management menus given not knowing what the specials are, cheesecake of the week etc. Overall, the food was OK but if I’m honest it was overpriced for the dining experience I received. Payment is at the bar, so I had to queue which felt very disjointed and was never asked it everything was ok. I would not visit again or recommend to anyone; I have received a better service from low end food chains.

We had a wonderful lunch after a tour of the brewery, great food in the light and airy restaurant. Staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Great place
