Eaten here several times with mixed experiences. Sometimes very good. Fairly average pub food. On our most recent visit, although we pre-booked, it took an hour for our roasts to arrive. The waitress did apologise and give an update but couldn’t give an ETA. The restaurant wasn’t full either and you would think on a Sunday with a constant demand for roasts it shouldn’t take that long. The meat was also slightly dry. We couldn’t stay for dessert unfortunately as we had a baby with us and an hour delay on the mains was too much.

The food was absolutely gorgeous really nice. The service was really slow. We asked for a 2nd round of drinks and after 30 minutes and not received we asked for them. Food service was slow but it was a busy Sunday lunch. We were offered the dessert menus but waited that long to be even asked if we wanted to order...we gave up and got the bill. £126 later for a table of 5 it wasn't cheap. Food great service awful

Very disappointed with the level of service received. Myself & my partner visited the weekend and sadly the service was poor!. Meal delivered with no cutlery by the time it took to flag down a waiter it was quicker and easier to go get them myself. Lack of training with the staff, although the staff were very young and inexperienced I blame the management menus given not knowing what the specials are, cheesecake of the week etc. Overall, the food was OK but if I’m honest it was overpriced for the dining experience I received. Payment is at the bar, so I had to queue which felt very disjointed and was never asked it everything was ok. I would not visit again or recommend to anyone; I have received a better service from low end food chains.

We had a wonderful lunch after a tour of the brewery, great food in the light and airy restaurant. Staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Great place

Sadly it was an awful experience. Having visited once before (a few years ago) I was happy to come back with my elderly parents. It was a warm summer evening and the garden was quite busy. We opted to sit in the restaurant and 45 minutes after our order was taken, I enquired as to where our food was. When it eventually arrived, two of the three meals were inedible- one ribeye steak was seriously overcooked and the burger was burnt black under the bun. When I discussed this with the manager, I was told it was because they were busy with short staff in the kitchen. The manager removed the cost of all 3 meals from our bill so did as much as she could to rectify a situation but by that point the evening was already ruined. I would not recommend visiting this (or any) restaurant that lets its food standards slip so badly because of a busy period!

It was my first visit to the Fur and Feathers,as I live some 20 miles away, it was, that day a quiet lunch and thats fine. We were given a table by a widow as requested, my lunch was the (special) beef stir fry, lovely tender slices of beef combined with noodles and vegetables, the sweet a waffle with a caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, ice cream, both dishes were tasty & enjoyable. The service was very good, drinks and the meals arriving at the right moment (not to long in waiting) the staff were polite and not over fussing, a very enjoyable lunchtime both for my friend and myself.

Tasty food and a good selection on the menu - we had fish and chips and the sea bass, all well cooked and flavourful. Of course we had Woodforde's beer with all of this topped off with a Black Adder crumble.
