The food and environment were good, but unfortunately we were not made to feel welcome and this spoilt the experience. We arrived a few minutes before 9 am and so the 'Closed' sign was still on the door; when the member of waiting staff came to turn the sign to 'Open', she just unlocked the door and walked away ... it would have been appreciated if she had opened the door and welcomed us inside. Although it is table service, I had to go and ask for service - I was there for a breakfast meeting, and so ordering in a timely way was important. My guest wanted a smoothie (a normal request for a breakfast session, and indeed Smoothies were on the breakfast menu) but was told that the 'man who makes the smoothies doesn't start until 1100' and so he wasn't able to order it. The tea was luke warm when it arrived, and even less hot by the time I managed to attract someone's attention to replace it with a hot version. Overall, a really disappointing experience and not what I would expect with any brand associated with The Savoy.
