Ordered two seafood dishes, sea bass & scallops and they were cooked perfectly. Shared some sides that were good but not great. Salads were served on HOT PLATES, which was unpleasant. Water was served at the table lukewarm no ice and I had to request refills. Never got bread service to the table. The ambiance is ok. It’s honestly a good place with nice food, but for the very high price I expected much better food & service.

Food was very good, but over-priced. Water had a slight unpleasant taste and was served at room temperature rather than chilled. Servers were attentive and pleasant. Ambiance in the dining area was warm with nicely appointed decor.

Rex, While I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed you service to an extent, I wanted to also say that I truly apologize bout some critiques you had observed. As our water is filtered, I am unsure how such taste could be present. In regards to pricing, our prices were made from the beginning when first opening so I apologize. We appreciate your feedback and hope to serve you again the right way!

We have reservations and we brought to our table right away. There were one other table patrons so it must’ve been a slower time when we went at 6:45 PM. The appetizers of fried stuffed olives were excellent and we had a wedge salad, which was really good . Unfortunately when our entrées came out, the fish was raw and had to be sent back, which caused my husband‘s food to be cold because he wanted to wait to eat with me, but his prawns were excellent. We think if they added some dimmer lighting and maybe a sliding door to the dining area to cut down from the bar it would be an even better Experience and maybe some light music. Our server was excellent very apologetic server. We plan on going back and hopefully next time both meals will be cooked correctly. .

This restaurant could be so much better. The room had all the blinds closed, no table cloths on the table, food was lukewarm warm. Service was good but quite honestly I was disappointed overall. No lobster in the bisque but good flavor, lobster tail was dried up and over cooked , sea bass was excellent, wedge salad very good. The fried olives were outstanding and the crab cakes good but lukewarm. I’d like to go back and try the steaks next time. I will give it another try.

Dinner was delicious, steak cooked to perfection. Sides delicious. Calamari was lacking, would not order again. Everything else was great. Service was awesome.

I recently dined at Wissota for the first time and had mixed feelings about the experience. Upon entering, I noticed an odd smell that lingered for a bit, which was off-putting. The lounge and happy hour were great and inviting with a beautiful view of Wickenburg at sunset. The bartender was very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant ambiance was decent, but I think it could have been elevated with dimmer lighting to create a more intimate and relaxing atmosphere. While the food and service were both excellent, small improvements to the overall environment would have made a big difference in the experience.

While it is very nice to have another dining choice in Wickenburg, The Wissota Chop House falls short for the ambience and price point. The layout is odd making the ambience off as soon as you walk in the door. It was noisy, even though we ate early and the restaurant had not filled up yet. Decor is dark and window shades down to deflect the sun as the restaurant faces West. Tinted windows with shades up would make the restaurant have a more interesting feel. I ordered the Wedge Salad and Chilean Sea Bass. The Wedge was good, the bacon extra delish, but the kitchen was a little stingy on the dressing. The Sea Bass was good but that was all you got. For $40, in my opinion, it was over priced. Everything is a la carte so the price point is out of whack for the location and feel of the restaurant. This especially true for the lack of correct stem ware for wine, only stemless glasses. For serious wine drinkers, this is a big no-no as stem ware for wine is important to keep it at the correct temperature for a more delicious experience. If Wissota Chop House wants to charge the prices they do, the need to step up their game. Right now it is too expensive for what you get. The was a one and done experience for us.

At Wissota, all entree's besides the burger are served a la carte as this is a company wide standard; same with the wine glasses.
