I've happily become a regular at Wissota because the food and service are consistently good. My server Scott greeted me by name, remembered that I'm a red wine drinker, and recommended I try the seared ahi special they were running because he also knows I'm a pescatarian. It was a spot on suggestion. The tuna was lightly seared and picked up a pleasant hint of smokiness which played nicely with the white and black sesame seeds with which it was crusted. It was tender, accented nicely with a dip in the soy based sauce, and worked well with the cool and creamy sliced avocado garnish. I started my meal with some very good East Coast oysters which were plump, slightly sweet, and very fresh. The salad I had with mixed baby greens, sweet sliced strawberries, tart apple slices, mixed with goat cheese and spiced candied pecans rounded out the meal nicely. Another winner experience and I've already made my reservation for my next trip to Janesville.

Our food and service were great. It's a bit pricey, but the value is commensurate to what you pay for. Our server, James, was super attentive, accommodating, and made this a pleasurable dining experience.

This was out first time eating at the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare), scallops very very tasty, and mushroom risotto was delicious. Our server, James, provided exceptional service! We will definitely return.

I've been dining here once/month for the past 6 months on trips to Janesville and the food and service are consistently good. I definitely have my favorites at this point, and the menu does change up a bit. On this visit the seared scallops were replaced with jumbo prawns which were truly jumbo. The were tender and flavorful and served on top of a beurre blanc which accompanies other seafood preparations. No issue with that, it's a reliable sauce that pairs well with many things. I also appreciate that all of the sides can be done as half orders, since I'm always dining solo, and this allowed me to enjoy a reasonable portion of asparagus with my prawns.

Steak was very good, skip the burger. Salad too much dressing better to serve. On the side . Desert made the trip great Nice clean & quite place

Quick thoughts. Risotto, steaks, sprouts, carrot cake and mules were good! Calamari was a bit bland. The waitress we had, for covering 3 tables, didn't check in very much to see how we were doing, or if we needed things. I had to request our bread, my drink was empty for most of the meal, and I had to request the desert menu. This was the second time my dad and I have dined at Wissota, the first time we had really good service, just would like consistency if I'm dropping $240 on a tab.

Went to Wissota Chophouse for the first time for our anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. Our server Scott was incredible & the food was amazing (both my husband and I said one of the best steaks we've ever had). 10/10. We will be back!
