William’s is a multi-award-winning seafood restaurant, fishmonger, delicatessen and caterer in the heart of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.

A veritable Cotswolds institution for over forty-five years, William’s has recently benefitted from a full-scale refurbishment of both the restaurant and shop area in January 2020.

Alongside a 64-cover new restaurant sits a new fish counter displaying an outstanding range of fresh seafood, delivered daily from Scotland and the South West coastline. The adjacent delicatessen offers a large selection of chef-prepared meals, cheeses, charcuterie and terrines as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

We are proud to have been voted one of Matthew Fort’s ‘Five Favourite Places to Shop’ and one of Rick Stein’s ‘Food Heroes’.

                                                                      Excellent service from lovely ladies who also sang Happy Birthday to you for me and presented a birthday slice of cake + candle! Great scallops starter and turbot for middle course. We have been coming to Williams for years and it is of a consistently high standard.

                                                                      We went to williams's kitchen today for a meal for four for a special birthday pay for by my wife's mother. The food was very variable. My wife had "sushi grade tuna" on a bed of beans which cost £27 or so, when it arrived it was an enormous thin tuna steak that looked quite collapsed and very flaky not taught and looking immensely fresh and was sn ordeal to finish. My meal was halibut with dauphanoise with a source which cost £36! My halibut was overcooked very firm a bit tough and the source that came with it was very obviously fishy without any nuance or skill as far as I could taste. The other two in the party had muscles with chips and a fish stew which were both fine. You go to a restaurant to have food that you cannot cook yourself, but we were sorely disappointed for The price that we were charged and the quality that we were given

                                                                      Friendly staff, lovely varied menu, wonderful ambience. The oysters were delicious and I had the monkfish and prawn curry which was beautiful. Lovely wines. Can’t fault it.

                                                                      First time diners and had a fabulous experience: friendly greetings, promptly sat down, very attentive staff, great ambience, lovely decor. Food was beautiful and obviously fresh, the oysters were incredible. Left feeling great. One aspect I feel let's William's down is their loos-they need sprucing up to match the rest of the place. They look a little on the sorry side and need some attention. They were clean, though Overall, we were delighted with our visit and will certainly go again.
