The food was quite simply very very poor. Small portion sizes, some dishes with mixes of flavours that didn't not work together. The supreme chicken was the smallest portion I have ever recieved in a restaurant. Risotto undercooked and had to be sent back. All this and you end up paying 200 euro for quite an inadequate meal was very disappointing. The service was excellent and the ambience was good but too warm. Had to ask for air conditioning to be turned on. The service was excellent but the food was very poor I would not recommend.

Had a crazy day including a flat tire on the side of the road. Dinner at Wilde's was the perfect antidote!

We dined at Wild last evening and it an absolute fabulous experience. I have dined in many fine dining restaurants and Wild surpassed most of them. The staff were also amazing. There is nothing negative to say about it.

I have been at Wildes at the Lodge for the second time and once again it was amazing. The food was extraordinary good, fresh and came in decent portions, the service made us feel welcomed, was friendly and always available and the experience was definitely worth the money. I am sure, that wasn't my last visit.

Food was OK - Too pricey for what it was. Ordered scallops for a starter (it was not washed well and had shards of shell) - when escalated and showed the staff the broken shells, they just brushed it off and did not even offer to take off the bill. The main course was mushroom risotto - a massive portion (perhaps enough to feed 2 people) and super stodgy. decided not to go for dessert instead just got two flat whites that were just very milky coffee, not flat white. Service was OK.

Dinner here was amazing! The staff were very attentive, the food was excellent, and the selection of wine and dessert were fantastic. This is a must do when you’re staying at Ashford!

Consistently a great place to eat! We've been to Wildes while staying in Ashford Castle and the Lodge, and most recently dropped in for a meal while passing through Cong (ie you don't need to be a resident to eat here). The food is 10/10 every time we eat here. In fact, we prefer Wildes at the Lodge to George V in the Castle! - it's 5 star food and service without the price tag that comes with the main castle. There's a great selection of food for all dietary requirements, a lot of food is grown on the grounds or comes from local suppliers. The meat eater and vegan options are delicious, and we're never surprised to hear our guest say 'that's the best X i've ever had!' - most recently it was the 'soup' that our guests were blown away with, so needless to say everything else blew their minds too. A massive well done to the team at Wildes - always a great service & great food
