At the heart of the vibrant Tucson gastronomic scene is a quaint, family owned restaurant that has made a name for itself by combining the classical French education of Executive Chef Steven Schultz with the flavors of traditional southwest cuisine. That all too familiar aroma of garlic will titillate your senses from the moment you step through the front door, followed instantly by the pageantry of Chef and his crew hard at work in the open kitchen where you can watch your meal as it is prepared. One can sense the warmth that emanates from their comradery and dedication and it doesn’t take long to notice that the front of house staff shares the same passion. Once again, Wild Garlic did not disappoint. My husband and I met another couple there. At the last minute, we requested to sit inside, although our reservation was for outside and appreciated the accommodation - but the table we got was a little cramped. There were many people on the patio and they say it is well-heated, so we will not chicken out next time, and try that! For dinner, we split the rack of lamb and our companions split the elk! Both plates were beautiful, delicious, and very shareable. We also had a wedge salad to start - perfect. Delicious veggies surrounded the meat. We added some large shrimp to the order, which were cooked to perfection. To drink, I had a lemon drop martini - again, perfect - one did the trick - and my husband and his friend had old fashioned's - which they said were very good. Wine list is extensive with many "by the glass" options to choose from. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and his explanation of the many specials was quite impressive. We will be back!

Holy cow! This place is a find. We had lovely meals from the large menu and impressive array of specials.

The expensive main course was not tender enough . I was sorry we came here. I would never come back. What a rip off.

Great experience food, service, atmosphere were all perfect for New Year’s Eve! We had sea bass, the only place that makes it superb & the scallops were a great surprise. We ended with the homemade bourbon pecan pie with delicious ice cream! Thank you!

We are frequent patrons of The Wild Garlic and thankfully have never experienced this level of poor service in the past. We weren’t able to access the patio because it was being prepped for dinner service which was disappointing because the weather was beautiful. Our server was disappointing in every way imaginable: he made no effort to connect with us but seemed intent on getting our table turned over as quickly as possible. Most of our requests for customizing our orders or preparing or serving the meal as requested were not complied with even though he happily accepted our food orders and requests. We asked that each of the two couples receive a separate check; however, all of the drinks were assigned to our check which was awkward. We ended up covering that expense to avoid making an issue about it. The saving grace was the wonderful quality of the food preparation and the company of our dear friends. Should we return and be seated in this server’s station, we will be asked to be moved to another station.

Wild Garlic has been our go to celebration restaurant for years. But lately, their food has gotten "fussy" - too many flavors overpowering one another. And the vegetables, at least on our last visit, were mushy. I've never been overly fond of the looong recitation of specials - its hard to remember them all by the time the waiter gets to the end. The cocktails were boring.
