Wild Caddis, is the fine dining restaurant at the Rainbow Ranch Lodge.

It’s known that a great meal is an experience that involves all of the senses. Wild Caddis is proud to offer world-class Montana ranch-to-table cuisine, originating from the finest and freshest products available. We use the highest quality, fresh, locally grown, and conscientiously raised products from regional producers, which help inspire us to create culinary and visual masterpieces.

Wild Caddis dining is rustic-modern, relaxed, but refined, with unsurpassed views of the majestic Gallatin River running by the lodge. House-made specialties such as duck prosciutto smoked bacon, and house-cured salamis are enhanced by our award-winning wine list and hand-crafted, barrel-aged cocktails in an environment as inviting as its Big Sky Country backdrop.

cool spot. We were there on New Year’s Eve so we had the New Year’s Eve fixed menu. It was good parts of it were better than others. It was a very long experience, but we knew that going in. The head chef came out and spoke to everyone which was cool. Overall, it was really expensive, but it was a fun experience.

You can’t come to Montana and not eat at Wild Caddis! Best prime rib I’ve ever had in all my life! Service is top notch. The front desk receptionist could be a bit more pleasant maybe we caught her on a bad day. Don’t let that keep you from the best food you’ll ever taste! A++++++++

I ordered the steak and for $60 I thought it would be cooked to perfection and a great cut. Nope! Came out over cooked and tough as did my son’s.. we both ordered it med rare. They took both back and remade them. Came back cooked better but it was so fatty and gristle. I maybe got to eat 1/3 of it. My husband had to go to bar to get my drink and to refill his water. I think waiter was maybe busy with table we couldn’t see. Not sure. My husband and I shared the apple and winter squash soup which was good and a member of our party ordered the chicken and they loved it. Rest of food was okay at best.

Steak was way over cooked. Service went missing half way through the meal and we had to go to bar to get drinks and refills. A new $60 steak was then cooked, way under cooked almost raw. At that time everyone else was done and tired. Just don’t get a steak. Other food was fine.

Casey was outstanding in every way!!!!! Great bartender and hostess! She made our Christmas Eve so enjoyable. Food was outstanding for the Christmas Eve dinner but the food was not as impressive for the Christmas Day dinner BUT we would come back in a second!!! The place is just stunning. Hotel employees were so professional and attentive. Thank you for a great stay. Ward and Sandy

Great meal - it was nice to try elk and bison and they created some unique flavors with these meats. We loved it. Our group also had a fish course and the chicken- which was probably the best thing on the menu. Yummy selection on desserts finished off our meal. I did also have their pumpkin and apple soup which really was nice and warmed me up.

I think this is more of a summer place for a drink. Menu was disappointing. Ambience was lacking. Our bartender and waiter were great though.

What a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional. The service is great! David was excellent helping us with our wine choice. We will definitely be dining here again.
