Great German food in a Tavern/Sports Bar atmosphere! All 4 of us enjoyed our meals! The pork schnitzel and potatoe pancakes would have made my grandmother proud! The brat plate with sour and sweet kraut came on a nice board platter and hit the spot! The pot roast was bountiful and delicious and the chicken schnitzel salad was yummy!

Had an amazing waiter that was very helpful and super kind we would come back during a vacation here anytime. They are very dog friendly on the patio which is also wonderful.

This is a great little place. All was great except we were interested in two specific items from the menu and they were out of both (on a non-busy week night). Definitely disappointed. We ended up choosing two appetizers and a couple of drinks. Both were delicious. We will be back!

We drive over to Pigeon Forge a few times a year and always eat at the Wild Bear. We usually like to sit on the patio but it was a little chilly on this visit so we ate inside. The food is great and the service is always good. A wonderful alternative (to our southern food) when visiting the area. We usually get a sausage platter and a schnitzel meal to share. The portions are large and we always leave with a to go box!

From start to finish was a strange experience. Weeks in advance we booked a reservation on Opentable. When we arrived to the restaurant we were told that there were several tables in front of us, due to a high number of large walk In parties. After waiting 15 minutes we were seated to a nearly empty back room with plenty of available seating with tables that took 20+ minutes to be cleaned from the previous groups. Our service seemed to be rushed and not much hospitality was shown. The mixed drinks were hit or miss, the lemonade drink was not mixed at all, and was only blue curacoa and tequila with some strawberry mixture at the bottom. The schnitzel was not breaded properly and was in a pool of grease. For a table of 6+ the usual 20% gratuity is added, even though the service was not nearly acceptable.

Absolutely a hidden gem in Pigeon Forge! The food and atmosphere was amazing! The beer is insanely good as well! THIS IS A MUST GO!

This wasn't the German restaurant experience we were looking for. Made a reservation because saw pork shank on the menu. When arrived it was also featured on sign by the door. To learn they didn't have any was major disappointment. The food was bland not a great flavor. Not sure if hefewizen on draft was a local craft but it was not German.

What a great dinner. Looking forward to a place to go with friends while on vacation & heard good things about Wild Bear Tavern. Service was excellent. He had great recommendations & was very knowledgeable. We started with the pretzel which was delicious. The traditional schnitzel, goulash, pot roast, & pork shank were excellent! The spetzele was the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
