Here at The Whittle, we pride ourselves on delivering a great customer experience within our fantastic recently refurbished pub. Our staff members are always happy and are looking forward to serving you with our new fantastic range of drinks and mouth-watering food offers. We have everything covered. Enjoy relaxing in our large bar trying our new cask ale whilst watching the live sports events, out on the external patio with a refreshing bottle of prosecco, or have a cosy catch up in our lounge area. Booked a table for 5pm on Father's day,Turned up on time to a pub full of very noisy adults with loads of children running around to be then told that they were not doing food, The staff didn't even know about the booking, we obviously left and went elsewhere.

It's was very disappointing as when we arrived at 7.15 we were told they don't serve food after six. This was very inconvenient as we had to find somewhere else to eat. There wasn't many people in there but it was very noisy.

The one lady who served us was really lovely however it was just a bad experience. For a start they didn’t even get our booking through this app…. Luckily it was empty anyway so they could seat us. It took 2 and a half hours for our food to come!!!! We booked for 12:30 and didn’t eat until 2!!! We had children with us too. We kept asking where the food was and they kept saying they’re cooking it fresh but it’s on its way. Had it not have been Father’s Day we would have left but we knew everywhere would be busy! Food was okay but not worth a 2 and a half hour wait! They didn’t have the vegetarian option either for the Sunday dinner which was pretty poor. They said it was because of a refurb but I think you should still have 1 option for vegetarians…

We had a table booked for 7pm through Open Table, but when we arrived they said they stopped serving food at 6pm. I was able to book the table for 7pm on Open Table. I think the times after 6pm should be removed

The meal was a fair price. It was cooked well. The Whittle was too noisy for our liking. The serving of Half Chicken was sparse, only had a portion of breast meat and no red (leg) meat. Service was ok. Would have like the cutlery at the table BEFORE the meal had arrived and not have to wait for it until after.
