Vegetables were cold / warm Meat was all fat Cauliflower cheese was watery Wll not be going back !

We came for a roast but was a bit disappointed by the lack of veg. Everything was lovely but hardly any vegetables. Also you can tell who the locals are which I appreciate however there is no sound buffer between the bar and the dining area. I had my 7 year old son with me and we had to listen to a rowdy bunch who swore every 5 seconds. It was 5pm on a Sunday so appreciate people want to unwind however feel something should seperate the 2 areas some how or the locals are told to be a bit more mindful of their surroundings and children present. It is a shame as it has put us of coming back and it's local to us and is really lovely inside but just too loud. We were sat under a speaker which didn't help as I feel that was too loud too

Food was not good, starter-the bread was too hard to eat! We were not charged for this. The main meal out of 5, 1 was fine, 1 ok although chicken was dry,and 3 meals were poor. We were all given a drink each to compensate for this. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Would not eat there again. Would recommend the pub but not the food.

When we arrived no one to greet us apart from a member of staff sorting out some tables for a party coming in and was just told “you cannot sit here”. Sat for 10 minutes we had our 2 young grandchildren with us, and was not acknowledged. Place was dirty and cutlery on table, half was missing, was dirty. Got our own menus once we found them then looked through. Still nobody came over so we left.

Visited 27/3/24 with a friend. We both took advantage of the two courses for £13.99 menu (although we both opted for the rump steak which was an extra £2 each). Our food was very good, and plentiful. The onion rings with the main were outstanding and the fries were really good. Steaks were cooked to our requests. Dessert was equally nice - a brownie and a cherry sundae finished our meals off nicely. Service was attentive and friendly, but the ladies were happy to leave us to chat which suited us very well. Great food, nice atmosphere (we liked all the decorations) and good value. We will definitely return

Food was very tasty and the chicken we had was as tender as it should be. The only issue that arose was that pig in a blanket, which we don't particularly like, was served with our meal despite it not being on the menu as part of the roast. We pointed this out to the waitress who served us, but she told us it WAS supposed to be included in the meal. We didn't argue with her but are still baffled about the difference between what she said and what was shown on the menu !

We booked our table 2 wks in advance but when we turned up we were the only ones dining due to you holding a 30 birthday party.you had hardly any food available that was on the menu,noise from the party was so loud we were shouting at each other to be heard and the service was diabolical..I feel in future if your hosting a party you should not try serving guests for meals.shortest time myself and friends have ever been for a meal.albeit the party guests were lovely and continually apologising.
