White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

Our server was a bit too much. Invasive and off kilter. Dropped our drinks and before we’d even had a cheers and a sip, was on us to place our order. Didn’t have the serve from the left, clear from the right thing down and was just a bit too much a part of our evening rather than a facilitator of our evening. My vodka up tasted like water so they either watered it down, which I don’t believe they’d do, or a bartender has a problem and is hiding it. It was our 4th trip,since they opened and the worst one.

A wonderful dining experience! We were celebrating a birthday and our birthday girl was made to feel so special. The food was great, as was the service, but all of the extra touches made the evening so special; the rolls presented in a wicker basket with a gingham liner, Happy Birthday written in chocolate with chocolate dog paws on the complimentary dessert plate,, our granddaughter’s dog shaped pasta to name a few. The room we were in was lovely and not noisy at all. We could carry on a conversation and hear each other easily. If you’re looking for a special dining experience, I highly recommend white Dog in Chester Springs.

Food and ambiance was excellent, noise level was loud but not unbearable. The service was exceptional - our waiter Chris was courteous and prompt and really friendly - he provided 5 star service!! Thank you we will definitely be back!!

Our waiter, Chris was excellent!! He was prompt, the food cameOut quickly and was absolutely delicious! So many different cool areas to eat. Has a good vibe.

We had a late lunch, hence the low noise level, outside. The waitress was attentive, pleasant and did everything you want in a wait person. If you want a quiet and attentive time at WD, because this one and all of them are rockin busy, go after lunch and before dinner. The food is the same and the ambiance is way more country peaceful. Food was good, we split a bottle of champagne for birthday and remarked on all of the upgrades to the old Vickers. Well Done!

This was our first time here. Beautiful restaurant and ambience, that alone would bring us back! Our server Anna was very pleasant and attentive, helped guide us through the menu. The mushroom soup was warm at best, a little too sweet for our taste. It was just okay as were the fried pickles which could have been crispier but not bad overall, again I’ve had better. Meatloaf lacked flavor and was a little too soft in texture for my liking. Mac and cheese side was solid! Chopped salmon salad was delicious and would definitely order again. There are other items I’m curious to try, but not sure it wowed us enough to come back that soon. It was nice the manager stopped by and again the service was excellent.
