White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

2nd time to this new White Dog location. Food is great, but service could use some additional training. Not sure if they are understaffed (it is a large restaurant), poorly trained, or both. Main server was great, but the food servers ran over to table, pushed dishes over (rather than clearing) quickly plopped the dishes down, and ran away. Had to flag them down to clear dishes and get silverware, etc. kind of felt like going through the drive through at McDonald’s. The setting is wonderful, especially outside on a nice night.

First issue with this new location is the god awful parking. There’s about 1/3 as many spots as are needed so you either have to use the valet or park across the street and walk across a busy road. Second issue is that the food took over 45 minutes to arrive. While they recognized the issue and gave us a free appetizer, it was still exceedingly long for a simple pasta entree. Lastly is that they squeeze you as tight as possible so you are enjoying the person sitting next to you conversation as well as your own. Good if you want to make friends I guess. The overall restaurant design is very nice and white dog food is good, just the same as any location. If you have a close White Dog to you, skip this location.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely outdoor seating.. Excellent job with recent renovations. Nice menu with competent servers.

I have Celiac disease (food allergy) and i let them know before we arrived. When we were seated our wonderful waiter, Lea, aksed who had celiac and the kitchen would be fully aware of the allergy. Our food was terrific and the variety was good. We have laready made another reservation. The only issue was parking. It was packed and the (1) valet had too many cars waiting. So you can park across the street and walk over.

Such a fantastic restaurant! The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere and historically important building offer guests tons of charm and character.

The restaurant is beautiful,every room is different and lovely .i went for lunch with my sister and had the special duck omelet suberb!!l can’t wait to return with my husband for dinner
