White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

Always a nice experience. We ate in the “porch” room which was smaller and quieter than in some of the larger rooms. Food and service was great. Many unique offerings.

Over all it was a great dinner. We had a delay in getting our food but the manager came to use offered us a drink or anything we wanted to make up for the delay. I really appreciated the gesture. I would highly recommend white dog cafe

We took my 83 year old mother to the White Dog Cafe - Chester Springs for her birthday dinner on a Saturday night. The food was very good, but a bit pricey, and there are few vegetarian options other than salads; however for a special occasion dinner it was reasonable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and felt homey, yet still upscale. The many interesting spaces, art on the walls, fireplaces and doggie decor added to the cozy farmhouse ambiance. Even the bathrooms were beautiful! A note for anyone visiting the restaurant with a person in a wheelchair or walker: there are not enough handicapped parking spaces. My husband had to drop my mother and I off at the front of the restaurant (in the rain) because the 3 or 4 handicapped spots were filled. Otherwise, the White Dog was fairly easy for my mother to navigate in her walker...there weren't any steps up or down and the doorways were wide enough for her to get through. Overall, dining at the White Dog was an excellent experience that we all enjoyed.

took 1 hour to get food after ordering and 40 min for drinks. Had to return the bloody Mary as it was not drinkable due to bad taste.

The menu was unremarkable and very expensive!!! The food we ordered was good ! The restaurant wanted business casual but wait staff was in jeans not good !!!

Food delicious as well as ambience- server was training and impatient with us. She interrupted conversations and made our group feel rushed! Ate outside weeknight so unsure of this inconsiderations!

A beautiful and fun renovation of an historic building — the food is tasty and fresh … service is very good!! The biggest issue I have is the petty charge for use of a credit card — customers already pay to have their credit cards with fees and interest charges … in a largely cashless society for a restaurant to pass along their own fees seems a little unfair and certainly short-sighted. Otherwise this is a fun and tasty new(ish) spot!

Burger was overcooked, poor quality meat. Salad was good, eggplant dish was ok. Service was ok - encouraged to order 2 meals, that they would be small; they were huge. Server seemed like he wanted to be someplace else. Very disappointing experience. Definitely not the White Dog of Judy Wicks. Please change the name.
