We are Seasons members so have been to Whitbarrow a number of times and have always dined in the restaurant . We had Sunday roasts this time and good was great, good portions and reasonably priced. Cannot ak for more.

Fantastic food and generous portions. Really nice front of house team and quick service. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

Staff were friendly and the live music was also good. Food portions are large but let down just a bit but odd things. The Cinnamon based relish in the burger shouldnt be there as it wasn’t a nice flavour and both desserts were swimming in cinnamon as well. Burger and Fish were cooked very well and other than the addition of a cup full of cinnamon on top, the sticky toffee pudding was also excellent.

Very friendly staff. Food excellent. Only concern I had was that on arrival with my husband & daughter (27 yrs old), I was asked if we needed a children's menu. ?? My daughter does look young for her age, but not young enough looking for a child's menu !!!!

Restaurant and surroundings were lovely could not fault this atall however although the restaurant was empty staff could not seem less interested, we felt as if we were an inconvenience to them. We ended up having to go and ask them to clear the table and bring the kids desserts. The food was ok however the steak which we ordered as medium rare came well overcooked. On the second night staying here some of our party asked the staff if we could have a table to order food last minute. After acting as if it was a big hassle to them they were sat at a smaller table than the party size even though the restaurant was completely empty. When the food came we were told that there was no other table available to allow us to spread out and comfortably eat (even though the restaurant was still completely empty) Once again another medium rare steak was ordered and came completely well done. When we told the staff about this at the end of the meal we were told well you should have said something when I asked baring in mind we were only asked if everything was ok once two minutes after the food was sat down hardly enough time to cut into the steak never mind check how it was cooked. Once we were all finished our meals and ready to leave the restaurant and was still empty therefore we could have been sat at a bigger table quite easily. Due to our dining experience we left straight away rather than staying for drinks as we had planned. We never went back the rest of the weekend due to this.

Lovely food and very nice service. Beautiful views looking out over the local countryside. Would definitely recommend if you are staying at Whitbarrow Village

Excellent food for the value, fish and chips were very good with beer battered Haddock and handcut chips. I had pork loin which was average but the tender stem crunchy brocolli and nice cream sauce with the dauphinoise made it better. They serve Excellent ice cream . The decor is very good and lighting is of a good quality. A couple of evenings there is a limited bar food menu so check which night you are dining if you wish to have the full menu.
