Whiskey Cake is your neighborhood joint for craft cocktails and farm-fresh comfort food. We source flavors, ingredients, and ideas straight from the farm, because good food tastes even better when it’s grown locally.

We originally were sat in the bar, however, it was so loud that we couldn’t hear the server let alone each other so we asked to move to a quieter location and are so happy we did. We had a wonderful experience - food, drinks, and service were all great! Jade truly made the experience for us. We enjoyed apps of the brussel sprouts, goat cheeese fondue, and fried green tomatoes. We also tried one of the old fashions and of course the whiskey cake- all of which we would recommend. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening and will definitely ask for Jade next time we come back!

We were seated and sat for a long period before what I assume was the bar manager noticed us sitting waiting for our server. He got us some water and soda and he informed us he will tell the server. We continued to wait still a no show for the server. We left. It was 445 and only about 20% of the tables were occupied I ate at Whiskey Cake a week ago the day after it opened. Food was good but service wasn’t strong but you could tell the server was trying I will try again in a couple months and let them sort out the kinks before I return. After we left Whiskey Cake we went to Texas Road house where the service was outstanding and about 80% of the tables were occupied.

The drinks were great, some unique ones, a wide variety of spirits as well. My husband and I both ordered the tri tip dip and the meat was so fatty. For the price and the quality of food, I would eat elsewhere and just come here for drinks. I enjoyed Ida Claire much better.

New spot in town so we wanted to try it out. The food was amazing except the goat cheese fondue. That was just ok. But the Brussels sprouts, hot hen and chicken and cheese sandwiches were all amazing. The kids chicken tenders were also amazing! The best thing I had was the whiskey cake dessert. I just wish the service was a bit more personal and attentive. Had to keep asking for a lot of things, and at one point our server was sitting down with another table while we needed kids drinks and salt and ice for the hot water we had at the table. But overall I had a decent time and I’ll definitely be returning. Hopefully, next time I can enjoy a bit better service.

Outstanding service Madison Black was very accommodating. TJ , Adam and Justin were very knowledgeable when it comes to bourbon. Will be frequenting regularly. Top tier all around!
