We're serving up tasty farm-to-kitchen dishes & cocktails out of our 'from scratch only' kitchen and bar. Microwave? Never heard of it. We use slow-cooking methods on our live wood grill, smoker and spit because everything tastes better that way. And all this goodness is served to you as you kick your feet up in one of our rocking chairs, dine at a fancy table or relax out on the porch.

Food was above average, but not quite what I would expect from this family of restaurants. The pork chop was touted, but it was fatty and the sauce was very generic tasting. The salad and appetizers were good, but overall, didn't meet expectations .

Our party of 3 sat at a high top table near the bar. We ordered the butcher board (charcuterie tray) and brussel sprouts appetizers and guava gimlet cocktails. I had the flat iron steak with fries & shishito peppers. My friends had the hot hen and the chicken melt sandwiches. Our waiter/bartender was attentive and very friendly. I’ll be back.

We had a wonderful dinner! For starters we had the deviled eggs. I had the ravioli and my husband had the pork chop! Everything was delicious! Andy was our server and she was very attentive !

The Whiskey Cake was ok. Food- very small portions, taste nothing to write home about. Atmosphere was nice but a lot of children were running around like it was a playground instead of a restaurant. I’m probably not going to return to this establishment, there are too many places to eat in Houston.

We have added Whiskey Cake to our regular restaurant list. The last 2 visits we found it too dark for our liking, and we were seated in 2 different areas of the restaurant. Last night we found that they changed the cut of meat on the steak frittes. My husband did not like the new cut and will try to find a new menu item that is to his liking. The restaurant is very loud, but we understand that is probably what the majority wants so we tolerate it because I REALLY like the salmon entree.
