Whiskey by John Howie is the Eastside’s whiskey and craft cocktail destination for guests 21+ years old. The global selection of rare and well done whiskies has been thoroughly collected for the curious to the connoisseur by Whiskey’s in house curator, Tim Lodahl. The unique menu of delightful bar bites features new and favorite tastes crafted by proprietor John Howie and executive chef Jed Laprade.
Whiskey by John Howie is available for private events. This 1,420 square foot space - which can accommodate up to 84 people for private events - features rich, dark woods complemented by dark brick and gold accents that give the room a comfortable, stylish feel. Hundreds of rare and sought after whiskey titles elegantly adorn the main wall, just above Whiskey’s open kitchen space. John Howie Catering offers a diverse range of chef-designed specialty menus that can be customized to the unique needs and style of each event.

Great service. Fries served with the frites were tepid. Frites and cheeseburger over seasoned-which is saying something for me as I like salt. Our first visit so we will give it another try this winter.

Our experience was fantastic. The waitstaff is always attentive and wonderful. The food is always amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and were surprised with a dessert! Would recommend and will be returning!

Our “Date Night” experience was great! Our party of four ordered the 2 plates/2 pours and we all left happy. The drink and food options were all tasty. The portion size was generous. The service was outstanding. Thank you, Whiskey by Howie. We’ll see you, again,.

Amazing food! I think John Howie is one of my favorite chef in Seattle. He is fantastic. Loved the Nashville Hot Chicken bites and the Ancho chili Shrimp. We tried the 2 plates 2 pours deal which was a great value. The cocktails were great too. I am definitely going there again.

Great place for small plates and amazing cocktails. They have a full bar but every whiskey imaginable on the menu. Food was very good as we shared plates that were plentiful and some great choices to go with what you ordered off the menu. Our servers were on top of everything.
