Made a table reservation for my wife and I for my anniversary, walked in and was seated in a high top jammed between the bar and a doorway. Never got a waiter, saw a few of them walking upstairs? Or elsewhere? Bartender ended up acting as our waiter, he was very nice we had some drinks ordered and 10 mins later an appetizer 20 minutes after this no one ever came to take our food order so sadly we left, noted on the reservation what is was for not sure why it was handled so poorly. Thanks for disrespecting our time and value.

Terrible. Out of most items on the menu. Service was subpar. Tables are uneven. You literally have to put your feet on the legs of the table to keep the table from rocking back and forth. Food was very bland.

Terrible service, genuinely terrible. they had the music turned up so loud we literally had to yell at eachother at a small table to even have a conversation. After we got our food and drinks nobody ever came back a single time. We wanted to get more drinks and dessert but our server only came up to the 2nd floor to talk to the bartender and never checked on us one time. We sat at our table for 40 minutes with empty cups and plates and I had to flag down one of the other servers from another table to get our check and they had the audacity to put 20% gratuity on our checks? There were 2 of us and we weren’t even allowed to order more than one item each, not to mention we were both missing the sides on our order we asked for. Tried to call today and left my name and number but unfortunately “the manager is not in” even though we all know a restaurant always had a manager present. Been about 6 hours and called two more times and nobody picked up the phone. Out over $100 for terrible service and half the food, never going to come back here again. Thanks for ruining my anniversary, we had to go to another restaurant completely afterwards.

The service was top notch and delivered with a smile. It was a quiet night in Pittsburg but the bar was still full. The food was solid across the board. We had the cubano which was good, the Strandad burger which was my favorite and the Low Key burger which was supposed to have pineapple and had very little which would be out only complaint on the food. Also had the Bao buns, truffle fries and fired cheese.

The food was fine, but the service was abhorrent. We made our reservation and showed up on time, so we were seated immediately. After that, things went downhill. I work in restaurants and I fully understand busy nights can be difficult, but that is no excuse for being ignored, treated with disrespect, and given nasty looks for asking for water refills. There was no “hello” or “sorry for the wait” from our waitress at any point. In fact, I think we saw her a sum total of less than 1 minute all night long. The tables around us were given the same treatment, leading to one walking out and the other nearly doing the same. The entire experience made for an awful night, and we got out of there as fast as possible. Despite the quality of food, we will not return in fear of repeat situations. But I guess if you like places where the waitress’ uniform is see through biker shorts and plain tank tops, this could be the place for you. Though I’d say save your money and just go to Hooters.

Food was over salted. Not a great burger. Service was adequate to good. We had to ask for the music to be turned down. If you want a good hamburger or sides, try somewhere else.

I missed Winghart’s, a previous whiskey bar at this location, and was happy to see a new whiskey bar open again. They offer a good selection whiskeys across a spacious bar. The first floor of the restaurant is otherwise quite narrow, although they do have a second floor which we did not explore. Comfort food goes well with whiskey, so I started off with one of my favorite appetizers, bone marrow. I was a little shocked to see at least a dozen “hot peppers” accompany the lengthwise cut bone, but was quickly assured that Shishito peppers are quite mild and barely register on the Scoville Scale. They were delicious and went well with my choice. I’m always looking for a good Cuban sandwich, so I had to order that for dinner. I wasn’t disappointed. A place either doesn’t know how to make a Cuban, makes a so-so Cuban with the right ingredients, and rarely I find a place that knocks it out of the park. The Cuban at Whiskey B’s bar & Kitchen comes close to the latter. My wife enjoyed the Market St Cajun grilled chicken sandwich, and we shared her order of French fries. Our waitstaff was attentive, and it was great to see the restaurant busy.

Whiskey B’s is the newest eatery in this tiny space in Market Square. We stopped on Open Streets Saturday for lunch this past weekend. It was pretty warm when we first walked in but the seats in the back were cooler. My friend and I shared a Rachael sandwich, an order of fried zucchini and an order of fries with beer cheese. EVERYTHING was delicious! The zucchini was perfect. We also had gin and tonics that were tall and refreshing. It’s a pretty small space so make a reservation before going. I’d go there again.
