When we walked in the door, the hostess seemed annoyed that we were there. She showed us to a table that had not yet been cleared off. Once we sat down, it was almost 15 minutes before a server came to take our order. While the restaurant didn’t seem busy, the staff seemed overwhelmed. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The drinks came out surprisingly quick, but weren’t very good. For a whiskey restaurant, the Old Fashioned was mediocre and the Martini was terrible. At that point we decided to pay for the drinks and appetizers that we ordered and we would head to a different restaurant. Lighter note, the coconut shrimp and Caesar salad appetizers that we ordered, were great! Based on other reviews that I’ve read, I’m will to say that this was just an off night but it left a bad impression. Not sure if we would come back.

Sadly I brought friends here for what turned out to be uninspiring food. Service- they triedhard but were clearly very inexperienced. Even the coffee after lunch was so weak my friends took one sip and stopped drinking. Nice room, nice concept but food doesn’t deliver

In the past I would rate my experiences here as excellent, but this dinner was unusual. It was their $1 oyster night and I’m sure it was very busy earlier, but our reservation wasn’t until 8:30pm so there were other diners, but it wasn’t packed. The place looked nice as usual. The AC and fans were in inside, but it was unusually humid for some reason. We were seated and ordered our drinks, which came promptly. Our waiter was nice and initially attentive. We ordered fried calamari and a dozen raw sea salt oysters as an appetizer. We later ordered our entrees. Approximately 30 minutes later the fried calamari came out. Another 10-15 minutes later the entrees came out. One of the pasta dishes had already started to cool by the time it got your table. The other three entrees were at a good temperature. About 10-15 minutes later the oysters finally arrived. Four of the dozen were clearly not the same type as the others. If they had to make a substitution due to availability I would understand it, but they should have explained it. Also, a dozen oysters should come with three different sauces, two lemon wedges, and two packages of oyster crackers. There were only two sauces, no lemon, and no crackers. Everyone enjoyed the taste of their meals, but the slow service, the humidity inside the dining room, and the incomplete oyster presentation, we were less than pleased with the overall experience. Please note that this is unusual for this restaurant- things usually go very well there. Also, I still tipped the waiter as I would have if everything went well, as I don’t think that all of these issues were his fault.

Avoid the paella, the saffron is not cooked into the dish but added to the rice afterwards resulting in a bitter taste. Fortunately, the restaurant did comp us the dish.

Unfortunately our Fathers Day dinner was not a good experience. We had a reservation but waited 10 min to be seated - even though the place was half full. Service was incredibly slow - for taking orders, drinks and food. The servers were not informed about sold out items and that message got to us that a fathers day special coq au vin was sold out a long time after ordering. That said, the appetizers were good so we were hopeful for a little while. But hopes were dashed when we had to inquire several times about our main dishes. A side of rice arrived as an inedible sticky mess, 35 min before the main dish. When the mains finally arrived- at least 45 min after we ordered, the jambalaya was cold and the lobster mac and cheese was terrible. We immediately sent back and asked for them to be removed from bill - the kitchen staff were clearly cleaning up for the night and were outdone that we were not happy. The first bill only had one item removed, and I had to reinforce that both were unacceptable and needed to come off. I cannot recommend this place.

Food was good and lots of choices and options. Good alcohol menu. Service was poor. Server was pleasant but not experienced. Long periods with no server attention. Then multiple people got involved adding to the confusion Good location snd parked on street right in front.
