Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Westerns Laundry has won numerous awards for excellence and originality and is a firm favourite on the London dining scene.

Angelo Van Dyk of Hemel-en-Aarde winery Yo EL Rey will join us for a dinner on Sunday 4th August presenting his own and friends' wines to accompany a menu celebrating the best of peak summer produce. Working exclusively with organic growers, Angelo makes wines in his Hemel-en-Aarde winery that reflect the breadth of varietals and terroirs to be found across the Cape regions, all of which have in common a lightness and finesse that belies their depth and concentration. We will be opening up our outdoor seating and firing up our charcoal grill with a menu of grill meat and fish perfect for peak summer.

one of the best restaurants we've been to and it's consistently great. all dishes are amazing. lovely ambience especially on outside tables.

Great place and really helpful staff (eg provided easy list of veggie option for the one veggie in our party). Lovely fish and veggie dishes - bit pricey but worth it overall. Would recommend.

I very much enjoyed my meal here. We sat outside, which is why it was quiet. I understood from the friend with me that it was much noisier inside and probably hard to have a conversation. Hotter, too. A very nice ambience outside. We came early - 12 pm - so no delays with food. The food was very nice - possibly a bit too much dressing in some cases and I do think it was also very pricey. £11 for a plate of dressed tomatoes was far too much. We paid around £40 a head for five shared plates (not the most expensive) which included a shared pud and two coffees. No wine. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. I found the booking process - via Open Table - a bit of a fiddle. It would be nice to be able to book on the phone. I hope to be back - when I can afford it again! - and when I can persuade someone else to do the booking!

Lovely atmosphere, the food was delicious and service great. We got advice on wine, and really loved our choice. Each plate of food was unique and incredibly tasty. Highly recommend! Outdoor seating is sheltered from rain and would be a quieter choice.

Love WL, it’s the 4th or 5th time I’ve been. It’s definitely a treat/special occasion budget for me personally but it’s worth every penny, the food is amazing and the service is always so good. I sometimes think for the price the portions could be a couple of tablespoons larger, but it won’t stop me coming back or recommending to friends. The venue is stunning, perfect for a date or birthday. Can’t wait to come back as always!

Took my father out for a celebratory meal and should have gone somewhere else. The food was quite nice but came in very small portions, so did not feel like it was good value for money. Our octopus salad was tasty but tiny, whilst the cuttlefish pasta was very light on the cuttlefish and quite bland. The wine we ordered was £10 a glass and nearly undrinkable (my father ordered a pint, and when the beer came it was less than that!). The serving staff were lovely but it was not enough to save a disappointing evening.
