WC Clapham is a wine and charcuterie bar situated in an Ex Victorian Water Closet adjoined to Clapham Common tube station.

Restoring the original features, the award winning design offers a quirky and intimate venue, a hidden bar offering guests rest and respite from the streets of London, perfect for date nights and catch ups with friends.

The considered drinks menu has something for everyone - be that a glass from the thoughtful, simple and eclectic wine list with 30 to choose from or a delicious signature cocktail. The accompanying food offering has been created to complement the drink selection. Charcuterie and cheese is sacred here, boards perfect for grazing and a selection of small plates with plentiful plant-based, dairy/gluten free options that cater to all dietary requirements.

Established 6 years ago WC Clapham is delighted to be Big Sister to WC Bloomsbury, WC no.2 that opened in May 2021.

Live acoustic music every Sunday from 7-9pm.

Love this bar and attend regularly. Slightly expensive and many people walking through just to use the WC with no comments or refusal from staff.

Food and drink was excellent and staff were accommodating when we asked for food to be altered from menu. Things that let WC down were the mop bucket and cleaning things in the doorway, bag of bread on the counter and the constant flow of people coming in just to use the toilet. It was a lovely meal but quite frustrating when it’s meant to be a treat that people coming off the tube were heading straight here just to use the toilet- ruined the ambiance.

They used to do very good cheese and charcuterie boards at a reasonable price. Now they’re £22 each for a cheese board that included 2 cheddars, a Red Leicester, Comte and a goats cheese. The charcuterie board wasn’t much better with a selection of very similar salamis all straight from a packet. Felt like they’d sourced it all at Sainsbury’s up the road.

We ordered food after being seated for an hour - after 45 minutes it hadn't come and we were told they needed the table back in 15. When I mentioned our food they came back with it and told us they could try and hold off the people who were due to have our table next so we could wolf it down. Needless to say we sent it back (it was then shuffled off to another table so hopefully it was warm enough for them) and left. Overall not impressed, and find the 2 hour table minimum restrictive - if we had been allowed to stay longer we would have spent significantly more money. Shame to say I wouldn't come back.
