We arrived for our anniversary. Sat outside which was very warm. No ice provided in our glasses and there was no fan or cooling system for outside either. Especially on a very hot day. We got all our food delivered at once. The bugs were very small and needed more of the butter to be cooked in rather than use adding after the fact. Broccoli was tiny as well. Pasta was good. We did not really have much service given to us. No one spoke to us about our special occasion and there was no anniversary cake or desert offered either. A little lack luster when we were hoping to change up the normal seafood restaurant we go too but i think we will be going back to there instead.

Benn many times, this time they rushed the food service, no break between courses, they lost our drink order, we had to ask them again as they served the main. The food was great as usual. On arrival we ordered our drinks, then the bread arrived, within 2 minutes our complementary chowder arrives. The moment we finished the chowder our entree was placed on the table and plates removed. Consumed our entree, mains arrived and table cleared. We had a dessert then the bill arrived. The restaurant was not crowded as we had early dinner. Not the usual relaxed dinner on this occasion.

We really enjoyed our evening. Young waitress was informative, friendly and very efficient. Menu was almost overwhelming with the choice. Food was of a very high standard, but we have had equal quality at a more realistic price.

Food was good but we got sat at a table placed in the middle of a walkway and it ruined the whole experience with people and servers constantly squeezing past both sides of the table and bumping and knocking us the whole time, service wasn’t great at all either because once we mentioned this we just got told “sorry its busy”. Don’t think we’ll be going back.

I first made a booking for two which they asked for a deposit of $50 per person, I turned up on time and found we were sitting in the doorway from the restaurant to their verandah so to speak , waiters were passing and I felt we were in the way !! The meal was really nice but certainly not worth the $180 charged ??? I contact them the next day about the deposit with no response after leaving a message. This was saint Valentine’s Day and asked for a rose as part of my request extras , never happened and they didn’t contact me one way or the other however one of the staff stole one from there own display ?? Will not eat there again .. but thanks to the fella that stole the flower. 🌹

To the Management of Waterfront, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent dining experience at your restaurant. Having dined at Waterfront numerous times before—often with great satisfaction, even ordering a main twice on one occasion because it was that exceptional—I had high expectations. Unfortunately, this visit was by far the worst experience I have had at your establishment. From the outset, the service was dismissive and inattentive. We ordered immediate entrees with the intention of taking our time with mains and desserts, yet our waiter took my menu before we had even finished ordering. It was as if he was preoccupied with something else entirely. Our sparkling water was served slightly late, which was not a major issue, but the lack of attentiveness continued. When the oysters arrived, the waiter carelessly placed the fork on the table with no elegance or consideration. We requested Tabasco sauce, which never came. The situation worsened with our main course order. We had discussed various dishes with the waiter, yet we were incorrectly served flathead—something we did not order. When we questioned him, he insisted that this was what we had requested, despite our conversation about different options. The flathead itself was overcooked and of poor quality. If anyone had observed our table, it would have been clear that we struggled with the dish. When we raised our concerns, the waiter was once again dismissive and indifferent. Further issues arose with my coffee order, which was incorrect. A small detail, but indicative of the overall lack of care. There was no spoon provided for sugar, and it seemed as though the waiter was in a rush to clear us out—he presented the bill before our coffees had even arrived. This was the worst service I have ever encountered at Waterfront and one of the most dismissive and arrogant waiters I have had in years. It was particularly disappointing given that this was an anniversary dinner.
