Always a great time. Service and food is consistently amazing no matter the location or server. Although, my favorite location is DTLA and our favorite waiter is Chris Rodgers. Chris provides excellent service and has an amazing personality. He goes above and beyond for his customers. We can go to any Water Grill, but Chris is the main reason why we keep going back to DTLA.

First time at Water Grill. Celebrating our 10th anniversary, and it exceeded expectations. We requested a window seat, which made for a great atmosphere with natural light. Sergio's service was exceptional—friendly, fun, and attentive, adding to the experience. The highlight was the raw seafood, especially the OYSTERS, with over a dozen varieties. We ordered a sampler, which was phenomenal. We also got the "Grand" sampler for two, which was great, but we'd skip the mussels next time and go for more oysters. Fun moment: we found a tiny crab in one oyster, and they swapped it out, giving us extra oysters and tiger shrimp! Appetizers were outstanding. The GRILLED SMOKED OCTOPUS was perfectly smoky, paired with sun-dried tomatoes, basil, and tiny potatoes. The CHORIZO CLAM was packed with flavor—so good we kept the broth to dip bread in! For the entrée, we had the NEW ZEALAND SEA BREAM in ceviche style—fresh and perfectly seasoned. The CIOPPINO, though good, was the least impressive, likely because we were already too full. Overall, a fantastic dining experience… Water Grill did not disappoint!

The fish was excellent. We had the Dover sole. Loved it. Server was helpful in selecting the wine and even provided tastings. The raw oysters were delicious. Water had not only Pacific coast varieties but Atlantic ones too.

This is one of our favorite restaurants downtown LA. We went to the Biltmore for a show then dinner at Water Grill, delicious as usual. It was a hot evening so we ate cold food. We had the Trojan roll excellent, oysters & scallops so tasty. Presentation was exquisite & the service was excellent with the restaurant full. I highly recommend Water Grill downtown.

The restaurant was nice, and our server was amazing. Super attentive and very friendly. I have to say either the AC was super low or not working because I couldn’t enjoy my anniversary dinner due to profusely sweating from the heat. The clam chowder was super delicious, as well as our Kumamoto oysters but honestly the $55 salmon was just ok. The “curry sauce” was sparsely spread and lacked seasoning, and the fish while cooked perfectly didn’t quite do it for me. Drinks were amazing! That bartender knows what they are doing.

Customers should know that the valet parking is located in the alley way garage, not on the curb.

Tuna tartare was a bit salty and the server misses half my order but the rest of the food were good.

Everything was delicious! We had shrimp cocktail app to share. I had the Chilean Sea Bass-amazing! My 2 friends had Fish & Chips, and Fish Tacos! We were visiting with an out of town friend, and they never rushed us. The service was great as well. We finished with a shared Key Lime Pie, so good! We forgot how much we like this restaurant!
