    We had a fabulous meal! My husband and I both had an amuse bouche - the jerk duck and the grilled octopus. Both were delicious! I had the chicken dumplings and my husband had the nitro shrimp and grits. Again, both were very tasty. Our next courses were the beet and burrata salad and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and dates. Yum! The main courses were the catch of the day - 4 jumbo shrimp on a bed of a spicy fried rice and the maple salmon. Each dish had interesting flavors and sauces. We each had a glass of wine and desserts were the brownie with raspberry coulis and the whipped lemon ricotta with honey and blueberries. I think we came home with 7 take out boxes because there was so much food! We had dinner for the following night! If you want to have a flavorful meal with unique dishes at a very reasonable price, including 8 dollar glasses of wine, visit Water for Chocolate. The service was great, and our waiter was so helpful and charming. We had a wonderful experience there celebrating our birthdays!

    I've been to Water for Chocolate many times now and it never disappoints. The overall experience is amazing, and I always leave planning my next visit. Chef Sean is a master!

    The restaurant overall was great place. Small tables and they are close space limited. However they do have outdoor sitting which is spacious. When full can get a lot of ambiance noisy hard to hear across the small table Lol.. Would return and recommend.

    After a lot of research, trying to find just the right combination of ambience and great food to celebrate my foodie son's 21st birthday. Water for Chocolate could not have been a better choice. The service was exceptional...joyful, personal and very customized. The ambience was quaint and felt authentically Baltimore in all the right ways. But most importantly, the food was truly some of the best we have ever enjoyed. From the parmesan grits, to the salmon belly tacos, the 10 oz steak and eggs, the crab quesadilla to the vegetarian omelet, each dish exploded with the perfect blend of flavors, colors and textures creating an absolutely memorable meal that my son was blown away by. Could not recommend Water for Chocolate any higher. As my son said, "Dad, this place is an 11 out of 10".

    My family had an amazing meal at Water for Chocolate on a Saturday night. The service was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The venue is intimate and the open kitchen and friendly service made the night feel like an evening with a personal chef. The food was extraordinary. Our family favorites were the nitro shrimp, a halibut special, and the sweet potato bread pudding. The server thoughtfully removed cilantro from my daughter's food after she mentioned that she doesn't like it. This restaurant is really something special and a perfect spot for a long meal with lots of conversation and exceptional food.
