Fantastic new menu. Everything tasted great. Drinks were awesome. I do miss wish chef would put the iberco pork and chocolate eclair back on menu.

Took my out of town guest there and they loved it. Drinks, service and food all excellent! Best Manhattans and old Fashioneds in town. If you are lucky enough to be there on a night they have squash blossoms you will be delighted!

This was our first visit to Watch Hill Proper. They had no record of the reservation made through open table, although the $128 upfront for two people had already been deducted from my bank account. They asked “would 2 seats at the bar be okay?” Although the restaurant was 85% empty on a Saturday evening at dinner time. I explained we’d rather have a table, and if they couldn’t accommodate the reservation that was okay, we’d come back another time. They did seat us at a table, and throughout our dinner, only a few more tables had guests. I had the beef tenderloin and it was delicious! My husband got the lobster roll and it came out wrapped in paper like a Jimmy John’s sub, with some lobster mix stuffed inside some rolled over Zaxby’s bread for $37, no side. The manager checked on all the tables and did offer to bring another entree when he noticed the lobster roll had not been eaten. My husband declined the offer, as we are not complainers. When the bill came, you guessed it…the $128 mandatory pre-payment had not been applied to the bill. Our server apologized and brought another bill…with a $20 tip already included for a table for two. We did tip him another $20 on top of that, but it is nice in general to point out that gratuity has already been added. We love trying new places but will most likely check this one off the list and leave it there.

Watch Hill Proper never disappoints. It has its own vibe, and when you walk in, you feel important. It's perfect for any occasion. And the drinks are yummo!

From the moment we entered, our experience and service was superior. The manager made us feel welcomed and made a few suggestions. Our food was wonderful and prepared beautifully. We will be back
