Wasabi, located in Novi, Michigan, serves Japanese cuisine in a modern, sleek atmosphere. The menu includes over 30 different varieties of handmade sushi rolls as well as dishes that are prepared at tabletop grills right in front of you. Wasabi has a full bar which features sake, wine, beer and spirits.

Start out with a soup and salad at Wasabi or order an appetizer to share such as the edamame. Try the California roll or order the steak and scallops teppanyaki meal. In addition to its full-service dining room, the restaurant offers seating at the sushi bar and takeout services.

We didn’t even get to dinner, as we went there we were told that we had to wait over 1 hour to be seated even though we had a reservation.

The food was good, the hibachi chef, hisself was even better! He was the highlight of the night keeping us all entertained. The actual waitress must’ve had other tables, but she checked in as often as she could. I would return to dine here again, it’s worth it.

The staff was rude, manager walked by swearing multiple times (I had children with me), the utensils were dirty, the food made my entire family sick. We had been to this restaurant several times in the past with no issues. I don’t know if the management changed or what happened but we will not be going back.

The chef was under the influence, dropped everything and our food was over seasoned and dripping with sauce. It was so gross

This was one of the worst Hibachi restaurants I have been to. Noodles were a separate order and had an odd flavor to them. The chicken was rubbery and some pieces not fully cooked. The overall look of the restaurant was a bit dirty. The staff was friendly though. Robot servers were neat. I will not come back.

They obviously over booked for Mother’s Day. We had a 5:00 pm reservation and arrived at 4:45. The lobby was full, with people also waiting outside. We waited until 5:45 and decided to leave after finding out that people with 4:00 reservations had not been seated yet and were still waiting. This was our first time there and we will probably not give the restaurant a second chance. We went out for Mexican food instead.
