My fiancé and had a picnic afternoon tea in the quiet garden of Warren House. We had the best time ever and the all experience couldn’t have been better. I can’t recommend it highly enough and I am glad such a place exists and it’s open to the public.

Father’s Day afternoon tea booked for the family today. Our very first visit and the staff could not have made it better. Very relaxed and welcoming, beautiful food and lovely environment to be in. Would highly recommend

We had a delicious tea with many choices of sandwiches and cakes as well as scones and cream. The icing on the cake was a special birthday cake, with happy birthday wishes.

Lovely mocktail on arrival, wonderful swim and delicious tea. Service was excellent. Disappointed to have been told champagne per glass was £10. In fact it was £29!

Lovely afternoon cream tea. Very generous platters. The service was a little mixed, one excellent waitress in particular. Would come back.

Had afternoon tea for Mother’s Day, and there was a bit of a buzz (chaos?) about the house. Someone was complaining about something and refusing to pay. The afternoon tea was nice enough and our server was very polite and sweet. But there was no ambience which then changed to a speaker in the corner with a laptop playing religious songs from YouTube and bizarre religious based adverts between each song, not exactly fitting for the setting. Maybe some Beethoven would have been more suitable. We laughed but it’s a bit crap when you’re paying £45 for a few sarnies and cakes. Warren House used to be premium some years back, but it felt a bit Faulty Towers, so won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Awful. DO NOT GO HERE. Booked for Mother’s Day lunch. Firstly the waiting staff had no idea what was on the (very limited) set menu. ‘What is the soup of the day’ and we receive a blank face and ‘I don’t know’. After ordering the starters took 45 mins to arrive and even then the glass of wine my wife ordered still hadn’t arrived. The staters were bland but edible. We then waited another half an hour for the mains. Mine arrived and was stone cold so I sent it back. When it eventually came back the fish was raw (it wasn’t a sushi dish). All of the tables around us were complaining. It was truly awful and ruined Mother’s Day. I refused to pay for my main and they did knock the price of my meal off the bill, but this was little consolation. I’ve never written a negative review about a restaurant before but felt compelled to write this so others avoid the mistake of booking here.
