We ate on the outside patio on a very nice evening. Delightful. Service was a little slower than usual however they had a large party event also on the patio.

My chicken wasn’t cooked fully. I’ve never sent back food so this was really uncomfortable but the waiter was wonderful. Also pumpkin cheesecake was a pudding like dessert served in a glass not at all what I was expecting and didn’t love it. The live music was good but so loud hard to hear conversation.

Building is quite interesting. Service is prompt and courteous. Wine selection was very good. Food itself was slightly better than average.

We love Wandering Vine! We try to eat there every time we are in Kansas City (as we live in Wichita). The castle reminds us of the 2 castles that are in Riverside in Wichita.... one of which my sister and brother-in-law own ... The Riverside Castle. The food is delicious and reasonable and the service is always outstanding. Our waitress (Sophie) was amazing.... attentive but not over bearing. I love the wine flights and the amazing choices of wine.

An absolutely stunning setting excellently maintained building and grounds with a rich Kansas history. Gracious host owners , excellent service, delicious fresh ingredients. Truly many steps above most other restaurants. It’s a historic , architectural and culinarily experience . To visit the KC area and not dine here is to have missed K C’s best. We will return to share this fabulous experience with our family and friends.

Wow, I didn't think an upgrade was possible but I'm truly blown away by what the Castle has achieved in its new hiring and menu redesigns. My vegetarian partner enjoyed creative and sizable portions of Focaccia bread and a Cobb salad that appeared out of a painting. I experimented and tried their soup of day - Rabbit! - and definitely appreciated the difference from their normal cream heavy soups. My main course, filet mignon, was cooked corrected, seasoned well, and accompanied with wonderful "smashed" potatoes, mushrooms, and a lobster cake so full of meat it was bursting at the seams. She paired her vegetarian meals with sweet white wine while I dived into their Macallan selection. I also really enjoyed their new 1924 (100 year old!) Darroze Le Luxe Gascon Armagnac. Paired with a chocolate cake, the Armagnac was a beautiful, classy drink to end a wonderful evening.

FOOD WAS GREAT, SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE OWNERS ARE AWESOME. WE SAT OUT ON THE PATIO AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.
