    My husband and I came to Wandering Vine for an anniversary brunch. We found the space charming, our service excellent and the food quite tasty. We will definitely be back to try out a dinner experience here.

    The Castle is a very unique place. It is a more open dining room which contributes to any party who is a little louder than others around them I would have liked to have it a little more secluded and not so open for such a romantic place. The staff was so friendly, easy to talk with about the place, the menu, etc... We were there for our anniversary and they brought out a rose for us to take home which was a very thoughtful touch. We ordered drinks which were full of taste and perfect for our tastebuds. We also ordered the fish and chips - VERY GOOD. The chips were wedge fries and were just ok. We also ordered the Pork Chop with Asparagus and crispy potatoes. The Pork Chop and Asparagus were exceptional! Next time I would order the carrots instead of the potatoes only due to personal preference. For dessert we had coffee and the pumpkin Cheesecake. Again delicious! ONLY REASON for not giving it 5 stars was the noise level was just too high for wanting a more quiet and romantic dinner.

    First time here, as we were celebrating our anniversary. After being seating we ordered our apps. my wife and I got the calamari, and the couple we were with had the shrimp and grits. After 10 mins or so we ordered our dinner. 15 mins later our Calamir came out, and it was over cooked, and cold. We sent it back and 5 mins later a new batch came out and was perfect. Our friends were still waiting for their shrimp and grits. After another 10 mins or so it finally came out. Than we waited, and waited. Finally 2 of the 4 entrees came out than 3 to 4 mins later the other two came out. The food was good. In the end our reservations were at 7:45 and due to the slow service/kitchen we didn't get our of there until around 9:45. There were plenty of open tables so it that busy to have a dinner go this long. In the end dinner in a castle is always fun, they gave my wife a rose to celebrate our anniversary, but the $200+ was a little steep, and most likely keep us from returning.

    While I had heard about a restaurant that was inside a castle, I had never been. Yesterday, when browsing for restaurants, I had not been too, the Wandering Vine restaurant appeared. A friend and I decided to give it a try. The ambience inside is warm, homey, dark, and inviting. However, it was a lovely October day so we opted for their outside patio. Brunch was being served and I chose the hot chicken sandwich which had an excellent crisp and slaw on top. It also came with crispy potatoes and a nice vinaigrette salad. While eating, we tried the rosé wine flight and a red wine flight. Both options had delicious offerings from various parts of the United States and Europe.  For dessert, we opted for a liquid one and tried two of their craft cocktails. My friend ordered her usual, a dirty martini and raved that this was the best she had ever had. I opted for a pear infused vodka drink that was fabulous. Our waiter was kind, attentive and not overbearing, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for a beautiful October day. We will definitely be back to sit inside and try more of their eclectic and varied menu. Of note, they also have a cool wine cellar that can host up to 50 people. A great idea for a wedding shower or holiday parties!

    My husband and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at the wandering vine. We enjoyed wine flights, cocktails, appetizers, and entrées. Everything was wonderful from the food to our waiter, Sophie’s service. Aside from the beauty of the venue, the atmosphere was lovely with instrumental music playing in the background. The owner stopped by our table and gave us a red rose to congratulate us and shared that she and her husband were teenage sweethearts as well. I will definitely visit this restaurant again!

    The venue is so very cool. I love the history of the building and that really makes the ambiance next level. The staff is great! The bartender was an artist and our server was polite, patient and attentive. I thought the steak was good but not great and we had shrimp cocktail that was average. Everything else was really good. I really recommend the crashed potatoes and the asparagus was some of the best we’ve had, probably because the hollandaise sauce was perfect! We’ll be back soon. I understand the pork chop is outstanding.

    This is our second visit . We first came for brunch and the food was as good as any big name hotel chain would deliver . The ambiance was so special and the wine selections so dramatic we knew we needed to give dinner a try . We were not at all disappointed our server was confident , relaxed and non pretentious . The food excelled . The soup really something special the Fish and meat ,and vegetables were of excellent quality , and prepared to perfection truly 5 star . We will most certainly return with guest who also enjoy fine dining in a spectacular space . The owner filled up at our table to ask how we enjoyed our meal . Definitely the most romantic restaurant we have found in the KC metro area .
